livendive 8 #1 January 16, 2007 Well they certainly started this season off with a bang! 4 hours in, and Jack has only killed 2 people so far. He needs to get his shit together, there's lots more bad guys in need of being Jack Bauer'd. So now that he's quit, what's going to get him back into it? Was the blast enough or does he need to find out that either Kim or Audrey was killed in it first? Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" tigra 0 #5 January 16, 2007 I don't even know where to start but............... the power hungry dweeby advisor is pure KARMA for Wayne Palmer who felt that his job as his brother's advisor was to sneak around and do things behind his brother's back "for the greater good" because David Palmer's ethics got in the way! Wayne Palmer as president? Doesn't have the balls to get Jack out of the hands of the Chinese until its time to sell him to a terrorist? Is he really any better than President DickFace from last season??? Curtis?????? WTF??? You can't suck in your own personal feelings for the good of the country while there are NUKES about to be detonated????? I'm not sorry he's dead! Jack? Do you ever wonder if the people you are working with and working for just aren't WORTHY?????
tigra 0 #6 January 16, 2007 The guy from ER- Paul McCrane? also made an appearance in the previews. There's still hope that a helicopter will fall on him sometime this season!

Wayne Palmer is already being sold as a quasi-pussy...basically good-hearted, but willing to bow to the directions of his cabinet, for better or worse. Right now I'm guessing he redeems himself this season and is a stand-up President by the end of the "day." The humility with which he begged for Jack to help was a start in that direction. Are we absolutely positive Curtis is dead? The carotid artery could be construed as just a flesh wound! Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" tigra 0 #9 January 16, 2007 QuoteAre we absolutely positive Curtis is dead? The carotid artery could be construed as just a flesh wound! Well Tony survived a similar wound in Season 3 iirc and practically hopped of the operating table to return to CTU. But Curtis is no Tony and Jack's a much better shot than the guy who shot Tony! Besides, it didn't even look like they were trying to save him- he was just laying there bleeding and looking up at Jack!
sundevil777 102 #10 January 16, 2007 I am surprised that the bad guys were Arabs. Hasn't every other bad guy been from Germany or Eastern Europe? I figured they were trying not to insult Arabs.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
downwardspiral 0 #11 January 16, 2007 Jack is already on the verge of a section 8 and I predict he that either Kim or Audry die (or both)and Jack goes on a murderous rampage by the end of the "day". Of course he'll only kill those that deserve it. You saw it here first!www.FourWheelerHB.com
tigra 0 #12 January 16, 2007 You must not have been watching all 5 earlier seasons. In season 4, the bad guys were definitely Arabs with a dropped subplot about a crooked US defense contactor providing them with weapons. Season 2, the original bad guys were Arabs but as it turns out, were being used by forces within the US government who wanted to gain control of the presidency. And I think both times the show bent over backwards to show "good" Arabs making huge sacrifices to help out and also deliver the message that racial profiling and prejudice are bad- kind of like the way this season has started. Conundrum 1 #14 January 16, 2007 I think one of the coolest things about the show is that they film and use real locations where I live. For example: last night the family being held by Ahmed lived in Granada Hills. I live in Granada Hills.
