For those who live within range, is ANYTHING better than Fresh Direct?

Recommended Posts

Fresh Direct. Wonderful wonderful. Kozmo and UrbanFetch finally done right. (Although those rocked in their own ways, too.)

I do love it so. BEST part is the "Repeat Order" function. Find one order that works, and you're done in 10 seconds.

Plus, delivery is only $4.95.B|

Hey, FYI Dave, it doesn't revolve around Texas either.

According to the national media, TX doesn't matter. Even though we're having severe ice storms in over 1/2 the state, the north east is getting the majority of the coverage and TX is getting metioned occasionally with the rest of the nation that is having the same problem.

I know that the world doesn't revolve around TX, even though its a great state, former country, and has an overall huge impact on the US economy. However, I'm not concieded enough to think that the world revolves around my city (NYC).

Because contrary to the popular belief of people from NY, the rest of the country doesn't revolve around NY or NYC?

Yeah, that's probably it.

:D

A) That's why I said "for those who live within range."

B) Texas... Texas... Oh, the place we fly over when we're going to Mexico, right?

Even though you put the smiley face, that was still a snotty thing to write.

Its about the company that started it. Instead of putting "serving the greater NYC area" it has a "put in your zip-code" data box. So you put the zip code in the box and it goes "sorry, you can't get served by us, you don't live in the center of the universe, NYC."

I don't use it, though someone on my floor does. I see the huge truck outside every now & then and after there are the empty boxes in the compactor.

I LOVE to shop for my own food. There's always something extra (hey!! THAT tomato looks a lot better than this one! I think I'll make some chili!)

Carrying groceries is not a problem. Here everyone has a grocery/laundry cart that you just pull when you need to (later for parking lots and getting tickets). But what do you do when you use a company like Fresh Direct and you forget that ONE thing you need? You have to go to the supermarket and wander the aisles....~~April

I feal exactly the same Dave.;) Don't let anyone give you shit over this, almost everyone I know up here in WNY thinks NYC should be a differant state so we don't get lumped in with them.:P

I remember waiting anxiously as they slowly moved further and further uptown (I lived in Washington Heights). SO excited when I could finally get a delivery up there. Only problem was that I'm not very good at knowing what I need in advance. I'm more of a grab in on the way home kind of person.

Of course, shortly after they started serving my area Whole Foods at Columbus Circle opened. I actually hate that store, but because we had a couple new concert halls going into the building they gave us some "hey new neighbor" gift cards that I made use of for some time.
Killing threads since 2004.
