RandomLemming 0 #1 January 16, 2007 Hi all, Can anyone advise where I can get a pair of stick-on soles for my jumpsuit? The soles of the booties are getting a bit trashed landing on rough surfaces, and I'm not confident enough under canopy to spend any time taking my booties off before landing. I found these at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STICK-ON-SOLE-BLACK-2-4mm-SIZE-11_W0QQitemZ180057133677QQihZ008QQcategoryZ106124QQcmdZViewItem but I was hoping to find something I can buy in / around London. Thanks in advance,
monkycndo 0 #2 January 16, 2007 Get some Shoe Goo and coat the soles of the booties. Works great. Should be easy to find at any decent shoe store.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

DougH 270 #9 January 16, 2007 Has any one considered replacing their leather soles with rubber soles? I wish my booties were a little more snug on my shoes."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
icevideot 0 #10 January 16, 2007 You could always take your jumpsuit on your next shoe expedition. Everytime I get new shoes I have to get used to how they feel with my booties. It always seems to be different."... this ain't a Nerf world."

Remster 30 #12 January 16, 2007 I dont. And my shoo goo covered soles last just as long, if not longer, then the jumpsuit. I remove my booties after I land, and put them on just before boarding.Remster
Yossarian 0 #13 January 16, 2007 i take mine off in the air, after ive cleared airspace, pointed the direction i wanted to go, done a control check, collapsed slider etc, its the last thing i do as really its a comfort thing for me, and i wear a tight jumpsuit so under canopy things can get a little 'snug' if you know what i mean... dragon2 2 #15 January 16, 2007 I do with wingsuits, but on my FS suit (which I very rarely wear) the booties are way too tight to remove so I have to land with 'em. ciel bleu, Saskia

Not a bash/flame fest. Just a kind advice. Seriously. I'm definitely keen to get more confident under canopy, and I'm currently working towards my CH2. I'm also opening high so that I get more time to fly and learn. The problem with that is that it takes time and experience, and until then I need to hold my soles together :D
RandomLemming 0 #17 January 19, 2007 Quotetry skate shops rather than shoe shops, thats where i found it. Well that was interesting... O'Neil in Covent garden - no Slam City skates - no Urban Chaos bluewater and covent garden - no Decathlon London - no (after 15 minutes of trying to explain what the stuff is to someone who has no command of the english language) Any other ideas where I might get some of this stuff? RandomLemming 0 #18 January 19, 2007 Ok - scratch that. On the phone, Urban Chaos said they don't have any. My darling wife (being the trusting sort that she is when it comes to sales staff) decided to go and look anyway, and behold, they have loads :D
Remster 30 #19 January 19, 2007 Wall Mart also caries it, or a Bata (or other) brand equivalent.Remster
