matthewcline 0 #3 January 9, 2007 Yeah every Jan we get a nominal pay raise. We also see BAH and COLA going up too. In April/May there will be a Targeted Pay raise in the Army. It is the way of the DOD. MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

Im going ot call PSD tomorrow and see what is going on. IF this is legit..im doing my level 2 aff this weekend!"Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! Icon134 0 #6 January 9, 2007 well... go here and add up all the stuff... https://corpweb1.dfas.mil/askDFAS/askMilPay.jsp compare it to your pay from last years last LES... if it doesn't add up then you might go talk to someone about it. and don't worry if they make a mistake not in your favor... they're likely to catch it sometime... (though its not always a good thing when they do.)Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
cjsgrlsx3 0 #7 January 9, 2007 That does seem like a lot. Check your DFAS site. Maybe you got lucky and you can use the raise toward jumps!

cjsgrlsx3 0 #10 January 9, 2007 Well, they are usually pretty acurate. My husband has 22 years and they have never messed up an les. We have been lucky. You don't have a clothing allowance in there by chance do you? Good luck on your level 2. I will start on the 20th of this month, my birthday so all weekend at the dropzone for me! floridadiver81 0 #11 January 9, 2007 Nah my clothing allowance comes at the end of july...around the 24..the day i entered. Im hoping that my rent allotment wasnt screwed up..but even if it was stopped..i would normally get my normal paycheck of 700..plus whatever the raise translated to this year..im only 80 dollars short from my normal paycheck...thats the confusing part about the whole thing. Half of my rent should have come out..which would have been 250 dollars...but im only down 80...ugh...damn dfas!!!"Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! matt1215 0 #12 January 9, 2007 Check Leave-web. They do a pretty good job of breaking down pending pay, down to what they're taking out in taxes. My mid-month pay is about the same as December's, after reducing my number of FITW-exemptions and upping my TSP-contributions by 5%. There's definitely more $$ there. cjsgrlsx3 0 #13 January 9, 2007 I say don't sweat it, it will work itself out. If anything it will leave you a little short next paycheck (they always take it back quicker then they pay you). You know your rent will be paid. If they stopped your allotment it would have said on there. I wouldn't worry. Makes me think I should check mine! floridadiver81 0 #14 January 9, 2007 yeah that is true..adn im getting my tax return soon after i get paid anywhere...so im nto too worried about being short on money. nanook 1 #17 January 9, 2007 Same here. It's double my bi-monthly expected increase. Maybe they are just paying us the increase for the whole month instead of splitting it up mid-month and end-of-month._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

jtval 0 #19 January 9, 2007 it depends on your rank and time in service. they didn't give us "across the board" raises this year. they targeted certain ranks and TIS. I joind on Jan 8th 10 years ago so I will see a bonus, my pay riase for 10 years and the jan pay raise....oh yea clothing allowance too.My photos My Videos
floridadiver81 0 #20 January 9, 2007 I just realised what it may be..and most likely is. I think im just now getting charged for the 20 days of leave i took in November.
