Javelin J1 help needed

Could someone help me please and tell me if a 170 will fit in a Javelin J1 container.

My first canopy was a Sabre-170 and I had it in a Javalin J1 from -98.
It fitted, but was tight.

Im sure it depends on the canopy, but in my experience a spectre 170 was a really really really tight fit.

I have a J2 and a 9 cell 170 was really tight in it. A J1 is smaller and might fit a 170 7 cell but a 9 cell is going to leave the closing loop too long for my tastes. A j1 is really made for the 150-135 and can fit a 120 into it.

I've got a '97 J1 with a 170 Sabre 1.
The Sabre's got +- 650 jumps on and fit tightly but with no distortion or extraction hesitation.

As long as the canopy has a few hundred jumps and microlines, you should be able to fit it in without having a major disaster. Don't be shy to lengthen the closing loop.

What everyone else says, but here: http://www.sunpath.com/Legacy_sizchart.htm is the Pre K series size chart, for older containers.

I used to own a 93 J1 (pre K) I had an Electra 170 in it for a while and it was just fine, not hard to close and never a problem on opening.
I down sized to a Hornet 150 and it fit perfectly
