MichaelC 0 #10 January 2, 2007 I know this isn't much help now, but, Verizon offers a great contact back up service. It allows you to enter your contacts online or on your phone, and it replicates every day. I found this after replacing my last phone and losing all of my contacts. If you have your contact information it is a hell of alot easier to type with your key board than your phone key pad. adventurechick 0 #11 January 2, 2007 Well I had my sim card, but I filled up my sim card a year ago and the rest of the numbers were just stored on the phone. So any skydiver's phone number isn't in my phone anymore.... Thanks for the tip though!! SpeedRacer 1 #18 January 3, 2007 yes, but there's an option to store it to your phone. I had my numbers stored to my phone. My SIM card somehow got screwed up. I just replaced it & everything was fine. What I don't understand is: Last week I got a brand new phone. They guy at the Cingular store was somehow able to transfer all the phone numbers to my new phone. simply by installing the SIM from the old phone. How did he do that, if I had my numbers saved on the phone, not on the SIM? Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
sharimcm 0 #19 January 3, 2007 Cingular plugged my phone in to some kind of device and took all the numbers off my old phone and SIM and transferred it to my new phone. I thought it was pretty cool. I did find that if I attach a photo to the number, it has to be stored on the phone, since the SIM can't hold that kind of graphic information. adventurechick 0 #20 January 3, 2007 They couldn't even get my old phone to turn on or respond to anything. It was pretty beat. Also a good secret to you cingular folk: If your phone breaks, you can buy a prepaid phone for much cheaper, and stick your sim card in it and keep your same plan and phone number without it actually being prepaid. :o) PMS #449 TPM #80 Muff Brother #3860 SCR #14705 Dirty Sanchez #
