freefallfreak 0 #12 December 25, 2002 quatorze, I used to jump in Barnwell...never was a member of the Vikings of Denmark tho...been getting it on at as many dz's as I can get to but lately I haven't jumped....had a slight altercation at the end of the S.C. Speedway in Jackson when the drag chute didn't open and I ran out of track. So, yes, the legend (according to skymama) - the great TripleF, is recuperating 60 miles west of you straight out I-20. FFF Dude, I worked for three years at Carolina Speedway, back when I was in High School, I think it was 92-95, I worked the Burn Out box. And you said Barnwell, do they still jump there? I had heard that is was sporadic at best, Oh BTW, how is Bobby Woods doing? I heard about his accidentYou need to come jump with us in St George, as soon as your able again or if you head to any "Renegade" DZ's give a bro a shout, still trying to find some in the state other than B-well, (Can't cause too much nig-noggery there, Mom and best friend who is a deputy sheriff still live there) I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
freefallfreak 0 #14 December 25, 2002 Quatorze, Carolina Dragway is so close to my house, I can hear them at night...and that's where I lost it...you are right about spadoric jumps at Barnwell. Only on special occasion right now. The dzo sometimes lets us go to his home cause he has that grass runway at his house but the Bobby we all knew and love isnt in the best of health (he may be dead by now. Not sure cause I haven't been to Barnwell in a long time.) so no one goes there hardly anymore. The closest dz I know of now is upstate. quatorze 1 #15 December 25, 2002 QuoteThe closest dz I know of now is upstate. Blue Sky Adventures in St. George is only 1.5 hours from Barnwell, so you are looking at around a 2 hour trip to jump there, once you heal up and all BTW what car do you drive and did you run there when Scott and Margie were running it for JMI, for all I know we may have crossed paths before. Yeah, I've been to St. George and liked the place and people...I was treated very nice and had a couple of good jumps but haven't been there in a long time. The car is in the gallery section here on dz.com, I believe, and listed as the Polar Bear (you'll just have to see it to believe it, cause I can't describe it). It's been off the track for quite a few months cause I thought I was growing up, but I was wrong...tee-hee. FFF "Upon seeing the shadow of a pigeon, one must resist the urge to look up." Skyrad 0 #18 December 22, 2006 Instead of starting a new Merry Christmas thread I thought I'd resurect this old one from 2002! So MERRY CHRISTMAS my fellow DZ.Commers!
