freeflir29 0 #1 December 15, 2006 How in the world do I sell something when I don't know what the price is? I know the customer needs and most likely wants these particular items but the assholes that make this item won't give me a price unless my customer asks for it. Complicated huh? Stupid international laws!

wmw999 2,461 #4 December 15, 2006 Just nudge them in the elbow and give them a knowing wink as you say (sotto voce): "If you have to ask, you can't afford it" Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
Gawain 0 #5 December 15, 2006 Find another dealer/maker. The guys you're dealing with are trying to cut you out and take your customer. What ever it is, they aren't the only ones making it.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Darius11 12 #6 December 15, 2006 Will they give you the price if you sign a confidentiality agreement? I know I have had to do that in the past. What you selling?I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
Thanatos340 1 #7 December 15, 2006 Quotethey aren't the only ones making it. Not always true. Clay, Negitive Sales approach may be the way. Take it away from them. Tell them absolutely impossile to give an exact price untill the order is placed. Ask them if they are ready to place the order. When they say no, Not untill we jknow the exact price.. Spin it and Pull back. Tell them you dont think they could get the money anyway and to quit wasting you time. If this is the same deal we talked about right before you left.. Tell them they have to show they are serious before the manufacturer will talk to them. They need to get some Skin (CASH) in the game. If you are still talking to the people you mentioned, Their positions are unstable at best right now. Daddy may be out of a job soon.. Or atleast that is what we are hearing. Or atleast that is what we are hearing. Ohhh no. They aren't going anywhere. He's never been in a better position. In spite of all the negative spin I see in the news what's really going on here is quite different. Things are moving in a VERY positive manner lately. Like I said before.........I most likely will get squeezed out of any comission on this sale. It's what comes AFTER the sale that I am interested in. This is just all really frustrating. I would like to not look like an idiot. I would LIKE to walk in and be able to tell the guy the deal end to end with all the facts and figures. The assholes at the factory are making this difficult. Why are communists so annoying?
Thanatos340 1 #9 December 15, 2006 QuoteWhy are communists so annoying? Cause they are the greediest, Most corrupt bastards there are. Let me know if you need a hand. This is what I do for a living you know.. Only Im usually dealing with DHS, Raytheon, Lockheed and the US Navy. A little easier but the same principals apply. freeflir29 0 #11 December 15, 2006 QuoteCause they are the greediest, Most corrupt bastards there are. I think greed is EXACTLY what it comes down to. They lay out all the specs a buyer could ever want to know on their web site EXCEPT the damn price. Then the asshole blows me off when I sent the first email. Basically said "This is not possible." He did get an attitude adjustment when I wrote him back and asked what sort of paperwork would be necessary. I'd like to kick that guy in the nuts! QuoteLet me know if you need a hand. I tell you what. Make sure you have a current passport.
