Kathleen is holding her dying puppy..

I just gave my first shot ever. It went well, thanks to Walt.

My puppy has been wimpering off and on since 12:45 and I couldn't give him the shot until 1:30. That's the longest 45 minutes of my life! My first labor (22 hrs.) was easier than that.:(

edited -- looks like I misunderstood the shot. If so, that's wonderful news!

Close to her..tight to her heart. Vets don't know what's wrong....

She's on the phone with me right now..he might not make it through tonight :( :(

Doggie and Doggie Owner prayers and vibes sent! Lots and lots and lots of them. From me and Karma and NASA, too.

I like you.

Hang in there, Kathleen. I've been there. And my kitty lived. I'm sure you've heard of Sabre.;)

SO difficult, though, that evening and next couple days. Probably the hardest thing other than my first doggie passing.[:/]

You have my mucho support and regards!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. He did make it through the night. This morning he was whining a lot and acting like he wanted to get up. So I got up with him and he almost ran down the hallway. Straight to the water he went.....and drank for what seemed like forever. When we laid down together after that, there was no more whining and his breathing was calm and steady. He's going back to the vet this morning but when I spoke with her, she was very pleased. It looks like he is going to pull through.

The words relief and joy do not do justice to what I am feeling right now. Of course, I'm also extremely zombified.

Thanks again guys, and I'll keep you all posted.

Just got home from work, and this is a nice bit of news to hear that the little guy is perking up.

Your a good dog-mom!:)

What a great bit of news, Kathleen. I am SOOOOOOO glad to hear it. My feline crew are also happy. :)
Well done.

***if it all goes horribly wrong. I need to keep up my red meat intake, being a student and all.

Hate to dissappoint you but it looks like Camo ix going to be sticking around with us. Anyway, you probably wouldn't have liked the taste of him. He's just too sweet!;)

I know, what she is going through. I hope, he's all-right. 2-weeks ago, I had to have my horse put-down as a result of colic. I was with him all night, walking him and holding his head when he laid down. There was nothing, the vet could do for him, other than what he had tried to do.
