Fast 0 #1 December 6, 2006 I don't start many threads but this one could be important because I might not survive having my wisdom teeth out! ! ! ! Dentists and I don't get along mostly because, well... YEAH STAY OUT OF MY MOUTH! All 4 at once, laughing gas to ensue. It isn't till next thursday, can you tell I am nervous?~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Muenkel 0 #2 December 6, 2006 Again with the wisdom teeth. I think we have more threads about wisdom teeth than sex. Wisdom teeth suck. It sucks to get them out, but suck it up cupcake. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
tetra316 0 #3 December 6, 2006 Feeling your pain -I'm having mine done in Janurary.
MagicGuy 0 #4 December 6, 2006 It sucks, but it's bareable. I got all 4 out at once. Hurt like hell for the next few days - didn't do much but play video games and eat popsicles (and Vicodin). Just think, you get it done and then never have to worry about it again. You'll be fine!
yardhippie 0 #5 December 6, 2006 When I had mine done they put me under. Daizey 0 #6 December 6, 2006 I had mine out in November-all 4 at once as well. I had the IV sedatiion, thank god. I'm the same dentsits and I don't get along. Be careful to do exactly what they say so you don't develop dry sockets. They hurt like hell (speaking from experience I even did everything they said.) Believe it or not theres a few threads on here about it. Do a search and you'll find a ton....then again, I read them before I had mine out and I think it just scared me more. Enjoy the vicodin Oh, and be sure you take it with plenty of food, otherwise its not so pleasant on the stomach! *daizey*
Spizzzarko 0 #7 December 6, 2006 Yea my jaw is starting to hurt quite a bit back there and up into the back and inside of my ears. I'm thinking it might be my wisdoms, but I havn't had it checked out yet. Is that the feeling yall got before you decided to get them pulled? I didn't know they could put you to sleep and pull them. Did you have to go to a hospital for that? For those of you who didn't go to sleep for this, what do they do when they pull them? Is it like that dentist in that old movie the little shop of horrors? monkycndo 0 #8 December 6, 2006 Had all 4 done at once, with just a local. Three of the four were fully impacted. The DDS had to break them into pieces to get them out. That sound was a bit un-nerving. Got a good dose of pain meds and did the salt water rinse and ice bags religiously. Felt only a little discomfort and had no dry socket or infection. I tend to heal quickly. Popsicles are your friend.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
Spizzzarko 0 #9 December 6, 2006 What do the do to "impact" them? How does that work out? Is that tat in your avatar yours?
yardhippie 0 #10 December 7, 2006 I had mine done about 14 years ago, at 16. The dentist said then that they would come in and cause problems, and its better to get it done younger. I dont remember gettin and IV, but I do remember waking up and needing help getting outside. I remember getting sick from the anesthetic (as I have all three times ive been put under) Loads of gauze in the mouth, barely able to talk. Unpleasant to say the least. Then I made the mistake of going to a party that night. Bad idea. Follow the dentists directions. Take ALL the anti-biotics. I was over it in 3 days, but still just a touch sore.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #
4201 0 #11 December 7, 2006 It's not so bad being put under. As soon as you sit down and take a few hits of that gas, you will not even notice the needle till they have already hit you with it. they'll tell you "count down from 10" you will not make it to 8. You wake up feeling like you were only out for a few. Takes a second to notice your mouth is all numb and swollen, with cotton all up in there. (Have somone)take your drowsy swollen, numb, bleeding self home so you can watch the tube all yaked out on pills. Avoid cigarettes, and straws.

I hate hearing these stories because I can't imagine having to have been active for at least 3 days after getting mine out. Oh for the record I was completely put under. And yeah, it seems like you were out for only a few seconds, and then when you try to stand up it's pretty funny - I couldn't walk at ALL without assistance.
