yardhippie 0 #1 December 1, 2006 If you have this, I hope and pray you never have a claim with them. i have been in a few wreck in my life, none of which are my fault. Ive always delt with them one-on-one, even with an injury in one instance. Nationwide, is NOT, on your side! They dont return phone calls, they just cancelled my rental without consulting me, theyve told one party the the claim has been settled and it has NOT. Yesterday, i was basically given an ultimatum, take this offer or you get squat. Im going to try and negotiate today, but my only other alternative would be a legal course, further dragging out the process, something I can afford. 2fat2fly 0 #2 December 1, 2006 That really blows-it's amazing how they expect the premiums on time but don't provide the service when required. I've still got the truck if you need it for a while.I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

Words cannot express my anger at this particular company. _----------------------------------------------------- I had Nationwide for 11 years.....no claims ever ...then someone burglarized my truck and stole all my welding equipment. I had nothing but headaches with Nationwide. The final straw came when the adjuster called and asked if I would mind taking a lie detector test with regards to my theft. I exploded. I asked her would she mind taking a fucking test to determine if my premiums over the past decade had been used properly. She hung up on me. I did receive a check.....seriously pro-rated, with which I couldnt even replace my stuff. Fuck Nationwide. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars. ExAFO 0 #4 December 1, 2006 Having worked as an adjustor for Nationwide, I can tell you that they are a horrible company. They give their adjustors far too many claims per day, and no tools to effectively do their job. We were set up to fail. I quit as soon as I can, because I was unable to provide customers with effective service with the tools I was given.Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW. Nutz 0 #5 December 1, 2006 Ummm, it is not just Nationwide - it is ALL insurance companies. (Don't be involved in an accident in Alabama, tort reform is for the insurance companies NOT the public.) "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

yardhippie 0 #7 December 1, 2006 Ive had some decent dealings with insurance companys. Even one that involved bodily injury that resulted in me undergoing surgery. My insurance comapany has been somewhat helpful, and I can always complete my claim with them. The question there being: how does that affect my rates in the future? that is an answer only an underwriter and respond, and until all is said and done, it would be tough for them to say. At least I've been told this. The adjust from Nationwide refused to give me his supervisors name or number. Only would ask him to call me. My Patients wears thin with these people.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #

goofyjumper 0 #12 December 1, 2006 QuoteUmmm, it is not just Nationwide - it is ALL insurance companies. (Don't be involved in an accident in Alabama, tort reform is for the insurance companies NOT the public.) I agree, all insurance companies are cheap and are not looking out for your best interests. I used to work for Progressive and quit after a year because I could handle how cheap they are and I always felt like we were screwing the client. It really doesn't matter what insurance company it is.----------------- I love and Miss you so much Honey! Orfun #3 ~ Darla
marcandalysse 0 #13 December 1, 2006 To differ from the above posts, I have used Nationwide for both our cars for over 12 years, and the few times I needed them they never gave me any hassles. Quickly investigated and resolved all issues. One time someone hit Alysse's car while it was parked, one nite a raccoon walked in front of my car while driving home from zhills (the little f*er did some damage!), another time some old fogey side swiped me...... My rates have gone up somewhat over the years, but so has everything....! Perhaps the agent one uses is a factor...mine is very helpful. marc

brianemerson 0 #15 December 1, 2006 I was in a minor wreck with a Nationwide client and it took them about a week to get the rental car setup but they paid for my out of pocket charges until then. Then they paid the shop directly for the repairs and sent me a check for $750 due to diminished value because my car was involved in a wreck.
yardhippie 0 #16 December 1, 2006 Just got off the phone with the adjusters supervisor. he told me that there was no way he could adjust his settlement to that figure. Even if I had another offer and other factors that are involved. He told me I might as well take my deductable from him, and accept the claim from the my company and let it go to subrogation and probably mediation. Oh well. Now you know why your insurance rates are so high. yardhippie 0 #18 December 1, 2006 Not my fault. and nationwide is not my provider. 1500 less if I accept their offer 1500 more if I accept my companys offer and let them do the lawyer work.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #
simplyputsi 0 #19 December 1, 2006 Well your insurance should be doing all the arguing for you, but I can say that is hard to do in itself. I had the same happen and couldn't get my insurance to even make a phone call. I guess mine was different since It wasn't totaled out. Your in a tough spot. Argue with Nationwide and they are only going to make it more difficult. Argue with your insurance and they aren't going to help you. Probably be easier to just sue the lady who hit you. You need to kick someones ass is all I have to say. Oh and I paid a little extra visit to the insurance adjusters office and made him explain to me why my car had been in the shop a week waiting on them to ok the extra work I told him would be needed. I don't think they get many people that come back personally, his eyes were pretty big.Skymama's #2 stalker -
