BMFin 0 #3 February 19, 2007 Quote I've never had any trouble removing and re-useing PD Slinks. Ok.. For some reason I thought normal PD slinks were to be used once only. So is this not true ?
kkeenan 14 #4 February 19, 2007 Quote So is this not true ? Yes, it is not true. jumpdr 0 #8 February 19, 2007 I'm pretty sure the Aerodyne soft links are TSOd for use on reserves... but I may be wrong.Skydiving is more than a sport and more than a job: skydiving is pure passion and desire which will fill a lifetime.

billvon 3,070 #10 February 19, 2007 I would also add that while most versions of slinks are reusable, they have a lifetime like any other rig component. Keeping them with the risers, and replacing risers/links at around the 500 jump mark, might be a good idea. Also, regular inspection is required so any unusual wear (say, due to a nicked slider) becomes apparent _before_ problems arise. They are more vulnerable to that sort of wear than hard links are.
