$30k For a PS3, How much would you spend?

Recommended Posts

I've had a PS2 for a while now. Well, I finally bought my own when I moved into my last place right before I got married last year, since we didn't have the room mate that had one.

Basically, even though its neat to be the cool kid with the new toy, I'd rather wait and buy one after its been out for a little bit.

I agree. I got a PS2 about 4 months ago and was able to get every game I ever wanted to play on it for about $60. Plus if you wait long enough you can get the next revision of the console that inevitably fixes all the problems with the first version.

yeah, pretty crazy, but it is ok. They probably make 6.50/hr anyhow. not missing much.

I haven't really purchaed any gaming systems in my life. it just think it's a waste of time and in this case $$. soo many other things to do with 600$ (or more for those who are stupid enough to buy them off ebay.
can't people wait 3-6 mths and purchase them a the current price or the dropped price?. :S

Umm...I make more than 6.50 an hour and I bought one.[:/]

That's like saying everyone that jumps out of an airplane has a death wish.

I would personally never buy a 700 purse either but some people do. To each his own, I guess.

I play a little but usually get bored with them pretty quick.

What everyone is forgetting, or doesn't know/care about, is the ps3 is a bluray DVD player. I'm into home theater stuff so it makes sense that I'm happy to have it. The system came w/ Talladega Nights on Bluray and it looks fantastic in 720p resolution. Blows a regular DVD away. Stand alone bluray players are going for $1000 right now.

Plus the ps3 has wifi and an internet browser. You have 60GB of disk space to store pictures, music and movies and even comes with compact flash, sandisk and memory stick slots for easy importing.

In other words, it's much more then a video game system.

"PS3 Sells for $30k on ebay"

You forgot to add: :$10 from the local crackhead

That's what it'd be worth to me. Even then, it'd probably take me a month to get around to setting the friggin' thing up and learn how to play these v-i-d-e-o games I hear so much about.

There is definately NO lifeguard in the gene pool anymore. :S
