Has anyone gotten #12???


Edit That's just not right. The directions said nothing about having to do what I just did to finally get the answer to #12. And some people might not have the program to do so on their computers.

I was having fun until then. If they wanted you to have to do that, they should have said "It might help to keep another web broswer open for your favorite search engine, or you might have to utlize other applications"

Holy cow! #7 changed. I'm speeding through the levels to catch back up to where I was and #7 is different than the first time---I knew the answer w/out figuring it out, of course, after figuring out #9 previously but....

OK, I'm done.

I figured out 13 and #13 reminded me WAY too much of research class in mass comm. We were given shmack like that clue ALL...THE...TIME...b/c journalists are clue-finders & investigators so it's not so far off-base if one pursues that field, one might find themselves reviewing photos and having to find clues in them to research and thus get to the bottom of the story.

I am definitely NOT in the mood to do all that again. Hours and hours and hours of looking, digging, researching, public records, oh my gosh.

Sorry for the rant. But #13 brought me back to that place. I'm thankful to have once been to that place. And I'm thankful I can choose now when I want to go there and when I just don't flippin feel like it.

Well, shoot--now that I've read the thread...

Mailen, yes would have helped to have written down what I entered the first few levels. I almost had to start over, when I back-tracked in my mind and was able to figure it out, even though I forgot the first letter entered.

I actually got through the first levels really quickly until #9, then #12 made me and #13...you saw the posts.

Getting to the game (i.e past the rules page) took a few minutes, too (again see my previous post) but I was about to skim through the rules and click the link at the bottom when I remembered a test I took in 4th grade. I'll never forget that test: In a nutshell it had 30 questions. The rules only stated to be sure and read every question on the test before beginning. The last question, of course, said "You're done. Don't answer any questions." I had answered all the way up through #14, I think, before the teacher interrupted and laughed at us all; while simultaneously teaching us a lesson. I wondered why the hell a couple kids were just sitting there. So, I knew right away after the last rule on the page what to look for...just didn't figure out how to find it for a few minutes.

Anywho...now eeneR has me curious what the hell is so funny about #20. Damn it! I might go back again tomorrow. I'm done for today...

Speaking of which, is there a way to save your spot so you don't have to go through it all again each time?

Paint comes standard on windows machines. I'm pretty sure mac as a comparable standard picture editor.

You don't need to save. Every level is it's own page. All you have to do is bookmark the url and you can get back to any level you want.

And yes, I did pick through your posts. It's fun to fuck with you like that.

I saved the photo (the whole thing, words behind it & everything) and opened it in my Photo Album. I thought I'd try playing with it, but I didn't need to. The only thing that saved was the words and of course, the answer was behind where the picture of the blinds were. I knew, obviously, the answer was under that picture, but the rules said nothing about having to use a photo album to save & open up the clue in. I don't think that was fair.

Interesting. I initially tried to drag (before resorting to my photo album) and it didn't work.

Also, I don't know what url you're referring to about "looking where the picture is located" to type in, but the words for me were (warning, answer if you continue):

There are actually two seperate pictures on that level, one laid on top of the other. Right click on one of the pictures and select properties. In the properties you will find the unique url to that picture. Cut and paste the unique url and you will see the picture by itself. If you do that for the bottom picture you will see it without the other picture on top of it. Ergo, no outside program.
