RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 November 14, 2006 Candle wax has dripped on my carpet. Any helpful hints as to how to get it out? Goo Gone? Ice? _________________________________________
Lindercles 0 #2 November 14, 2006 Put a towel over it and iron the towel. It will melt the wax, which will soak into the towel.
lisamariewillbe 1 #3 November 14, 2006 thick newspaper, iron, ..... iron melts the wax into the newspaper, gotta do it alot but it worksSudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

simplyputsi 0 #5 November 14, 2006 What were you doing with the candle to have it dripping everywhere? hmmmmmmmm. I do believe ice does the trick.Skymama's #2 stalker -
wildfan75 1 #6 November 14, 2006 Quote I do believe ice does the trick. No, no, no...Follow the other two's advice. Believe you me, speaking from experience, the iron thing works. I spilled black candle wax none the less on my carpet the day I put my house up for sale. I almost commited suicide right there but then I thought I probably shouldn't, then I'd have blood on the carpet too. Anything pourous will work, newspaper, brown paper bag, towel (that you plan to throw away after), napkins, etc. It will work.

I do believe ice does the trick. *shaking head* Men!...always about sex I simply love to burn candles and the fragrance in my place..but sometimes don't pay close enough attention to an uneven burn. I think ice would've worked if I caught it earlier..but it's all dried and hardened now..so I'm trying the iron idea..will letcha know. If that idea works, then we can change this thread into a "what kinky things to do with candle wax" _________________________________________
Lindercles 0 #9 November 14, 2006 I let mine sit for two years until it was time to move out, and the iron thing still worked just fine.
SkyDekker 1,465 #10 November 14, 2006 As previous people have mentioned: iron, I have used paper towel in the past since it is made to absorb liquids. Works like a charm.

They really need a warning on them stating that the oils used to scent will cause horrible burns and jumping up and down while yelling "oh shit oh shit oh shit" Not that I would know Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

PLFXpert 0 #19 November 14, 2006 Yes, I actually did that. No, I didn't think the garbage disposal was a good place to pour wax. It was one of those juice-in-the-pantry moments.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
RkyMtnHigh 0 #20 November 14, 2006 The wax is really deep in the carpet so it is taking awhile, but the iron idea is definitely working! Whew! _________________________________________
