brianfry713 0 #28 November 13, 2006 Don't listen to everyone else trying to talk you out of your dream. I for one, would love to see a CASA DZ in Napa. I'm sure lots of people would come out for your boogie. I'll come jump out of the CASA as much as I can, as long as jump tickets are reasonable. Skydave103 0 #33 November 14, 2006 Not sure if you know this or not, but you don't make enough money with fun jumpers to run a DZ. You need to be a tandem factory to get enough capital to finance a turbine. "The whole build it the will come" scenario doesn'y work!!! I saw it first hand, I saw 1.5 million pissed away on a DZ. You go from paying $20-22 for a jump to paying ALOT more for that one jump! It's much more fun to jump at someone elses DZ especially when you dont have to worry if the weather is going to be good or if the plane is going to break down today, when is my mechanic getting here, are thes clouds EVER going to leave, where are those fucking tandems!!!! If you listen and don't open a DZ, I just saved you half a mil!! You can send me a check for 50k. 50k is a hell of a lot better than 500k!! Its worth 10%.LifeshouldNOTbeajourneytothegravewithawellpreservedbody,buttskidinsideways,cigarinone hand, martiniintheother, bodythoroughlyused upandscreaming:"WOO HOO!! What a ride!!!" jumpingbean001 0 #34 November 14, 2006 Spoken like someone who knows what the hell they are talking about. If you like the sport at all do NOT open a freakin DZ! do something else with your money! You will only be miserable and the sport will never be the same for you again!! I am not as greedy...25k for my sound biz advice!Let's have fun! :)
Skydave103 0 #35 November 14, 2006 p.s. I forgot: You have a 500k for the plane, where is the other 500k for rent, insurance, advertising, tandem rigs, rental rigs, phone lines, electricity, 100hr inspections, 2 pilots for the Casa, computers for manifest, TV/DVD/VCR's se we can watch ourselves, bassic amenties so we are comfortable (couches, packing mat etc) Registering your biz, checkbook, logo, name branding. Shall I continue? Just trying to save a good idea from being a bad decision.LifeshouldNOTbeajourneytothegravewithawellpreservedbody, buttskidinsideways, cigarinone hand, martiniintheother, bodythoroughlyused upandscreaming:"WOO HOO!! Wouldn't leasing an aircraft also be a bit more economical? More predictable costs allow more flexibility in operations, etc.?So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
