sunshine 2 #1 November 9, 2006 I've lived here for about 4 1/2 years now and my landlord has never raised my rent. I got a memo today saying he was raising my rent starting in January 2007. I was freakin out, but as i read on it said he was raising it by $15. Thats it. I have the best freakin landlord ever!! He responds to problems right away, lets me have my 2 cats and i have super cheap rent. Yay!! So what do ya'll pay for your rent? And how often does your landlord raise your rent? ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
NWFlyer 2 #2 November 9, 2006 I don't pay rent. I have one of them crazy mortgage things. My most recent landlord (before I bought my house) sounds a lot like yours. Once he has a renter in, he doesn't raise the rent; he waits till that renter moves to raise it to market rates. So, I paid $900 a month for the three years I lived there (this was from 2000-2003). He was pretty cool. Before that I didn't live in any one place much longer than the length of the original lease, so I didn't have to deal with rent increases."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. GARYC24 3 #3 November 9, 2006 I've been renting a room for about 6 yrs. I got a good deal. He raised my rent last yr $25 amonth. I pay cash every 2 weeks on Tuesdays. However, some months have 3 Tues. I just pay it, it's such a good deal here. But someday I want my own place(actually sometime next year)

It's so crazy how different places have such different costs of living. For a nice townhouse like Gia's, it would prolly be around $850-$900 where i live. Newbie 0 #22 November 10, 2006 about $1900/month (when converted into dollars) on a 2 bedroom 750sq ft apartment which is actually cheap for the size here. A mortgage on the same place would be cloe to $3000/month which is just unaffordable for us so we are renting for now. My rent's going up to $880, but that includes a bigger place. In 2004, I rented a 675 sq-ft 1br/1ba in Aurora, CO for $565/mo.
