alright now before everyone gets all politically correct on me, let me just point out, you got the wrong guy. hahaha
some whuffo saw the picture of the kid in the parachutists mag.(i forget which system its for) he asked me if the let kids skydive. of course i said..."they dont let them...they MAKE THEM! its the only way to keep people jumping!" haha
but that brought i painful thought to my noodle.(painful only b/c it was a thought)
why arent there any midgets in our sport? when you look at it, i'm surprised. y'know, they had migdet wrestling. even midget tossing. shouldnt midgets be part of our sprot too? i mean they could build LITTLE big-ways, they take up less space on the plane so you could get a lot more $$ out of a cessna if you own a dz. isn't there a migdet farm we can buy some and experiment with? we can break them in buy telling 'em we're gonna do midget tossing. but we wont tell emm we'll toss em at 13,500ft. i think this could bring alot of (UN)needed attention to our sport. and it'll be great to see the look on their little faces.

my ground friend,jerod(read ja-red), said he wants to start a midget farm and sell 'em to the circus. he is now in california trying to fullfill his dream. maybe if you guys wanna try this we can get a wholesale discount from him. we're still good friend so im sure he'll give us the hook up. two for one. hahaha
we can buy them by the inch. y'know. like any thing over 36 inches is defective. so its not a real midget so we'll get a discount. ill see if he can give us a price qoute...but i may have to bring a non- skydiver here to read the post...ill e mail him hahah. this should get good, if he can find this page!

i was consulting w/my other self and i found some more advantages of being a midget skydiver.
1) you dont need to but and expensive rig--all you need is 10 sq.ft. and that'll fit in your pocket.
2) you dont have to worry about hard landings--your already short

I mean, if you can't laugh about congenital birth defects than what CAN you laugh about?? Personally I think midgets are funny as hell. They skeeve me out a little bit but I'm sure if I could meet and befriend one it would make me more comfortable. I actually have an ongoing debate with a coworker about whether they like to be called midgets/dwarves (there IS a difference!) or "little people." I have had several people tell me that the latter is now the accepted way of referring to them. Come on all you midgets, "little people" sounds so stupid!
Anyway I wholeheartedly agree that they should all be encouraged to skydive. Imagine a stack of midgets... like something out of Wizard of Oz with those flying chimps and whatnot. Bring it on!

joe-- actually there is a diffenrence. dont ask me how i know this but its trapped in my stupid trivia section in my noggin.
dwarves are people who are disproportioned(?) misproprtioned(?) ah they aren't proportioned correctly. you can have a very tall dwarf. by unproportionate i mean noticably. like the "mini-me" guy hes a dwarf. the kid who played webster is a midget. does that help? actually i think the 80's wrestler andre the giant was considered a dwarf.(but dont quote me one that one, i think i read that somewhere)

Thanks for the clarification. Actually, in point of fact I DID already know there is a difference, as I noted in parentheses in my previous post. I was merely suggesting that both midgets and dwarves apparently want to be called "little people." Perhaps they were tired of getting mistaken for each other so they just said fuck it, people just aren't going to remember what the difference is so let's both be called little people.
Generally my understanding of the difference is along the lines of what you said, with the exception that i believe dwarves are always short and bow-legged with little short arms, thus it is Andre the Giant and not Andre the Giant/Dwarf.
Wouldn't want people to think that I was ignorant about the classification of these strange little creatures! But thanks for looking out for me anyway....
