kansasskydiver 0 #1 November 9, 2006 Ok... Here's the deal. I get these ideas stuck in my head and can't get them out and I have something I want to do in a video and can't figure the flipping thing out. Ok I have a vectored image logo that I want to have the look as if I were drawing it, or more so, tracing it out/burning it into paper. Any ideas on how to do this? Is there an easy way to set a course for an effect to follow? I've generated the Ipod effect of the tracing lights (hehe) and now I want to apply that to the logo I have so it basically spells it out. Can someone help me pretty please <--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
kansasskydiver 0 #2 November 9, 2006 Maybe I should say I want to animate the tracing of the image/logo. I kind of found something similar but still can use some help if anyone knows how Chris<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!

kansasskydiver 0 #4 November 9, 2006 lol that's not what I was doing, I was trying to better explain what I wanted to do. I found info on tracing signatures and animating them, so I "should" be able to apply it to the effect... I think <--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! PhreeZone 20 #5 November 9, 2006 Yeah, After Effects will let you do that. I've played with it tracing a signature and its able to do it with any vector based path. Logos are way above my basic understanding of AE though.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
kansasskydiver 0 #6 November 9, 2006 Ok here's what I need it to do. I need a light source to follow a path that's been traced out. I'm assuming that can be done correct? Instead of using the wiggle command for random movement of the light source, I should be able to have it follow a mask/path? Or am I incorrect?<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! I'm certain you'd get a LOT of different ways of doing it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
