Does it take for novacaine to wear off?

I'm starving. I didn't eat because I was going to the dentist and I didn' want them to get a mouth full of food or bad breath. So, I brushed and went to my appointment.

I had completely forgot about the "deep cleaning" the doctor recommended so when I go the put the topical stuff on so I won't feel the needle. I bearly felt it. and they stuck me four times.

Since I really don't like needles and the doc asked me if I needed a paper bag. My thought was I wish I could say one way or another but I havea needle sticking out of my mouth and I am scared to move.

back to starving, I could try to eat but I'm afaid I'll bite my tongue off and not know.

but seriously I think they said an hour but it has been longer than that and I'm still very much numb. How long til it wears off. Anyone know?

Someone told me that it wears off faster if you drink a soda.

The best thing I had when I had my wisdom teeth out was mashed potatoes and cream of chicken soup mixed together. Mmmm...if I didn't just order Chipotle for lunch, I'd be off to the grocery store.

Correction! - I just spoke to the person who told me about drinking something. She said it's something warm, not a soda. Make sure it's not hot because you might burn yourself not being able to feel it.

It is only the right side of my mouth. I go back to do the left in January. good looking out.

Intersting. sound pretty good. I think I'm going to go out to a restuarant though. I just feel like being waited on.
