Muenkel 0 #9 November 5, 2006 I interupt this program to bring you the following special report: I am officially retarded. In the time it has taken Peter to run 30+ kilometers, I have finally realized that I could have just been copying and pasting the notices I have been receiving. This would have saved me plenty of time and typing. The good news is Peter will be posting my progress in the next Special Olympics.
 aprilcat 0 #19 November 5, 2006 Great job, Peter, you broke your time by 6 seconds! I think I saw Peter twice...once as 'he; blew by me wearing orange and purple; then another time there was an older man and woman screaming PETER from across the street and 'he' stopped to hug them. They both looked like him from behind and it would be around the time he passed me. I did get to see Lance Armstrong and his entourage--he was going at it pretty good. I was at mile 21-22...the people were smiling and cheering, but there were too many people in the street pushing too close to the runners. I got a few pictures (none of Peter) and I can't download because they exceed the limit and when I resize they are too small to bother. Those runners are AWESOME! They had varying degrees of pain, joy, enthusiasm, fatigue, but they kept going. There seemed to be something about where I was standing that lead a few men to come over and lay on the ground and work out some cramps. I liked that spot alot and I rubbed a few backs and arms. It was great!! I'm totally inspired to do this for my ____th birthday (2 years from now) Rock on, Peter. Peace and BenGay, baby! ~~April Edited for a P.S. THANKS Muenkle..for the post and the call!
