mailin 0 #1 November 6, 2006 Is this movie really as gory as I'm reading? I like good horror flicks but I really don't like alot of gore. Last night I managed to watch the first half hour and I was pretty disappointed. Its just a bunch of guys trying to get ass... very lame. Is it really worth it to me now? Peej 0 #2 November 6, 2006 For me, the movie goes through three phases, the first is the "road trip style movie", then there are two others. If you're going to try to watch it i won't say much incase i spoil it. But yes, it gets pretty gory. It's not so much scary as a gore fest. I didn't think it was the world's greatest movie either. AggieDave 6 #6 November 6, 2006 Quote Thats because it actually took place in Iraq. Well, I think if I went to Iraq I wouldn't stay in a youth hostel regardless.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Nightingale 0 #7 November 6, 2006 Yes, it's really as gory. I wish I hadn't watched it, and I love horror movies that don't have stupid monsters in them.
mailin 0 #8 November 6, 2006 ok, the seals it for me. My moms on bedrest after surgery and I'll tell her not to watch it either... now I know to not take my dads word on horror flicks. "This is a great movie! They're even making a Hostel 2!"... Um, no thanks... JenArianna Frances
Katzeye 0 #9 November 6, 2006 I actually kinda liked it. And yeah the first part of it had me going "what the hell..." then it gets better. They are not shy on the gratiutious use of blood and gore. However, as it wraps up it had my attention. The entire premise is far-fetched, but what movie isn't these days? Is a chicken omelette redundant? flyangel2 2 #10 November 6, 2006 I'm a big baby, if I know there is blood and guts and stuff, I won't watch it.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
