boinky 0 #1 October 27, 2006 I've spent the last week shopping for and then attempting to install a new (second) hard drive on my desktop computer. While I physically installed it myself, I couldn't have done it without the constant instructions from Mike by e-mail. It's now officially "installed" but now I find out that it's not a "cure all" and I still have to create folders and move stuff from one hard drive to the other. This whole frustrating event has made me curious. How many of you are actually computer savvy and can do things on/to your computer with complete confidence and ease? And how many of you are like me...having basically only had to turn the computer on and type? And the thought of "building," "installing," or "creating" ANYTHING makes you want to puke? Armour666 0 #2 October 27, 2006 Computers are my bread and butter, quite a few years back when I worked in a call center for HP I talked to a 80 year old grand mother through a hard drive swap. She was so estactic when done she was telling me I can't wait to call and tell my grand sons what I just did!! was pretty funny she now had some bragging rights lolSO this one time at band camp..... Amazon 7 #4 October 27, 2006 Can I just go with the " I don't know nuffin bout them com puterz" OR you could just bring up a Windows explorer window on each of your drives.. and click on the folder you want to copy to the new drive from your C:\ and just drag it to the D:\ OTHER Windows Explorer window
Mostly_Harmless 0 #5 October 27, 2006 I build all my computers so that I know exactly what components I am getting. I install all the software too. The only thing I can't do is programing. I never learned it._________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

pug 0 #8 October 27, 2006 Alternatively, just press and hold the "Windows" key and hit "e". This will open the Explorer, showing your folder structure on the left hand side, and the contents of the selected folder / drive on the right hand side. If you want to create a new folder simply do a right click in the right hand side and select "New" -> "Folder"...
