shropshire 0 #1 October 28, 2006 My wife bought me an Aerobatics experience flight for our anniversary and today I cashed it in.. I flew in a Pitts Special at Sibson and had a complete blast. We took off and climbed to 4k to carry out the manouvers. The pilot took us through... a couple of rolls, loops a 1/2 cuban and finally a full spin (3 complete turns).... Then it was my turn... I flew some basic turns and then 2 rolls.. AMAZING. I love flying (.)Y(.) shropshire 0 #4 October 28, 2006 Hi Zep - thanks. It was fantastic.. I asked about flying lessons - not cheap - £5k to JAR PPL (about 45 hours) - maybe I should look at doing it Spain. . (.)Y(.) pjc 0 #10 October 28, 2006 Hey Tony, I flew in G-WREN too. My Mrs bought me an Aero experience for my b'day. What a buzz!!! Doing PPL abroad means a fair few conversion hours when you get back to get used to our ATC system and RT. There's some sense to training in the UK if thats where your gonna fly! shropshire 0 #11 October 28, 2006 Good point... I need to sit down and see if I can work the finance out before making a decision... but I'd like to do some more flying at Sibson, even if i decide not to go through with the PPL idea. What a cracking experience.. I haven't stopped smiling all day. Thanks for the input (.)Y(.)
