I get the feeling Logan would rather not be President. He seems to be happier as a politician than as someone who actually has to make tough decisions. I can just hear him saying "make it stop." :D

He definitely wants all the glory but none of the responsibility! :D

Exactly! Last year he was crying "Make it stop" until Palmer stepped in, made the hard choices and saved the day. Then Logan took all the credit and showed Palmer the door.

And yes, I am getting a guilty kick out of the obvious shots at "real life"!

I have the first 4 seasons on DVD also. If you time it right, you can get them for $30.00 or $40.00 at Costco- way cheaper than I've seen them anywhere else. (The trick is to buy them when they are in stock and on sale!) The DVD sets are cool because they do have some extra features- deleted scenes, interviews, and of course the mini "prequel" to the next season.

Yeah... and then you sit there watching the whole"DAY" again... arrrrggghhhhh

been there done that

Fortunately they release the DVD in December when I have more time away from the office. I can usually get thru the whole seson in 2 evenings (4pm-1am). I actually prefer watching it without the commercials but don't have the will power to avoid it thru the season. [:/]

I popped in a disk from S1 and yep, there was Aaron bodyguarding Palmer.
He's grown to be one of my favorite's too. The kind of guy you can really depend on in a crisis. And I think he's come around to realize that Martha is not as batty as everyone thinks; and that the Prez is a spineless dumbass.
It will be interesting to see what he does with the knowledge of Logan's complicity in the attack.

During the entire phone conversation between Logan and Martha when she was in the limo and he was telling her to leave, I kept saying- "What about the phone logs?" Since apparently there is no such thing as a private conversation.

And what Aaron does WILL be interesting. His role in today's events is not done yet.

Also, glad to see that Pierce survived the attack, and that Martha told him that Spineless knew about it, and did nothing.

When did that happen? I must have missed it. Unless it was in the preview for next week... I don't have cable so I download the episodes (commercial free B|) but never see previews for the following week.

Gotta link to a free download site?

I didn't download it from a website. I got it off of Usenet, which is sort of a pain in the ass to use if you don't know how. Other places you will find ripped TV episodes for download are mIRC, bittorrents, and DC++ (possibly the easiest of all those to use, but still requires a bit of configuration). Once you learn how to use any of these methods it is very easy to find just about anything you want.

i cried. is that pathetic? i get way too hooked on my t.v.

We had a group watching tonight and the room was speechless after that last image.

Finally, the doodoo has really hit the fan. Tonight it was mini-crescendo after crescendo, then cutting to MORE shit, one fucked up crisis after another. 24 is back, better than ever.

One thing that wasn't clear (though might be predictable). Was Tony in the same room as Henderson at the end?

The theme for this year is starting to look like "kill the characters with tenure and start over". So far we've lost Palmer, Michelle, and Edgar. Jack, Tony, Aaron, Mike, Kim (sort of), and Chloe better watch their backs!

I was all ready to blast Edgar for once again taking the "Don't bother me, I'm far too busy" approach when someone brings him important information, but I guess this time he paid the ultimate price for it.

I STILL think the key card scenario was beyond stupid. Anyone BUT McHobbit might not have reported it in an effort to save his own ass. Not McHobbit- they created an anal retentive by the books would turn in his own grandma character then had him drop the ball like that? Talk about a heavy handed plot device! Sure, it was a great two episodes but they needed to find another way to get the gas into CTU. My only complaint, but its a big one!

Jack won't die, but didn't the previews say someone would make the "ultimate sacrifice"? My guess is Buchanon or McHobbit- I'm hoping for McHobbit since CTU finally has someone decent in charge! Plus, there would be a sense of poetic justice and a little redemption, which seems to be one of the ongoing themes of the show!

And with 40% of the staff dead, does Spawn (Kim) step in and fill Edgar's shoes? Does Jack find time to file a complaint against her new boyfriend with whatever organization deals with professional ethics of psychologists? He did start a romantic relationship with a patient, right?
