I couldn't believe he shot Christopher Henderson's wife in the leg in order to make Christopher talk. Yikes! Anyone that would do that, I wouldn't want to piss off. Not even to cut in front of him in traffic. I have just one complaint with this show: I don't get a darned thing done around the house while it's on. I don't even want to run off during commercials, for fear I might miss a few seconds of something when the show returns afterwards. Wow!

staceyg 0 #158 March 8, 2006 There's an article in USAToday that states: "Edgar became more vulnerable as his appeal grew"; and quotes a producer as saying: "The good news is you're one of the best characters on the show; the bad news is that, unfortunately, we have to kill you now." So if popularity = death, who's next? Any bets?

The111 1 #160 March 8, 2006 QuoteI STILL think the key card scenario was beyond stupid. Anyone BUT McHobbit might not have reported it in an effort to save his own ass. Not McHobbit- they created an anal retentive by the books would turn in his own grandma character then had him drop the ball like that? Talk about a heavy handed plot device! He was definitely a by-the-book guy, but he also had an enormous ego. I found it somewhat believable.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
RastaRicanAir 0 #161 March 8, 2006 QuoteThe writing just gets better and better. Maybe it's because this is only the second season I've watched, and I've been going back and concurrently watching season 1 on DVD, but is that a sarcastic "Not that season 1 was Tom Clancy plausible to begin with, but they've gone from Jaws implausible to Jaws III in 3-D ridiculous since then. 5 minutes after I comment to my wife on what a one dimensional character Logan is, they wheel in this Vice President clown whose depth makes Logan's character look like Hamlet. .....Hey wait a minute! Juxtaposing an egomaniacal, weak willed, religious zealot President who molds to his every advisor's whim with a neo-fascist, war mongering VP who would overstep the law and outmode the Constitution to serve his power .......Could they be trying to make some pointed political statement about a certain administration? WOW! Too bad I f*ckin' HATE IT when entertainment television tries to make pointed political statements!!! One promising note though. I had to go through a metal detector when I went to the Oconee County Courthouse to get my Georgia license plates. Taking my keys out of my pocket was a real hassle. Glad I wouldn't have to worry about that if I got a job at the top tier of counterterrorism. Hell, I could keep my keys right in my briefcase with the can of nerve gas! And even if I was suspended for psychological incompetence, my key card would still work. They wouldn't even bother me if I clocked in twice without ever clocking out. Nitpicking? O.K. happythoughts 0 #165 March 8, 2006 I have watched 3 or 4 shows. It was entertaining. I used to read the Robert Ludlum books. After 4 or 5, I started getting the plots confused. "Did that happen in the last book or this one?..." "Spy goes somewhere, talks to secret person, has sexual encounter in minute detail..." I like some of the Tom Clancy books. Usually, I just watch stand-up comedians on tv. Not sit-coms though. The description of King of Queens, Raymond, and 5 others is "Well-meaning, kind, but hopeless bumbler married to hottie..." If you've seen one show, you've seen 43.

I realized this while flipping channels at my girlfriend's house the other day, and I found an old episode of 24. Watching it without being fully imersed in the season's storyline, it looked like a bad b-movie. They pull us into the new episodes by keeping us on the edge of our seats so we overlook certain things. They also rely on a few very predictable cyclical plot devices, the main one being: introduce evil character, make everyone want him dead, then let Jack kill him (admit it - who can't wait to see Kim's dude get what's coming to him - not necessarily being killed, but same idea - character designed for us to hate, who will get his eventually).
