Who was your 1st friend on dz.com that you didn't know in person?

Recommended Posts

mjosparky was the first to share his vast wealth of knowledge with me through PMs. I have been a lot more confident on some jumps because he was kind enough to write. He's a great encourager. :)

If you are talking about people that we have met after getting to know here, it would have to be waltappel. He took me to a "tittie bar" the first time I met him. That was quite an education too!!! :P

I first registered as nightjumps: Jul 5, 2001. We used to have a lot of discussion. You had about what 200 jumps back then and we just met this year? They grow up so fast these days. :D
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

There was RodeoChic2000, there was WingNut as well...basically the "old crew" from DZ.com. Since there were only a handful of us that posted back then we all got to know each other fairly well. It was years later before I finally got to meet many of them.

Thanks babe. I still check in every now and then to see what my oldschool buds are up to.

My first friend was Wildblue.

That I still haven't met might include dropdeded, Amazon, and CrazyThomas as among the first.

well ture ion a sense. I was on DZ.com before I jumped;)

But you signed up sometime later.

I always tell people (it sounds silly now since i have so many landings) the JCeman totally helped me learn to land.

I flared once and it was too high he explained to me how the surge of the canopy make you landhard.
since that moment my landings have totally been sweet. except the onewhere make legs fell alseep;but thats a diff story.

Ironically (and sadly), it was Michele Spray (themitchyone); we both did our first jumps around the same time and used to trade PM's multiple times a day... Unfortunately, she passed about a year later, I sorely miss her wit and sweetness... :(

First person I really talked to online here was Kelel01.
She invited me to visit her DZ while Rome was temporarily closed. I went down there and she hid from me.:P:D:D

First Friend I made from here was probably Skymonkeyone. Chuck came up to me at the first Dublin Boogie and said hey arent you that new guy on DZ.com that was looking for a rental Rig. Then he offered to take me up and get anything I needed signed off on my A card.
