Houston Landscaper business suicide

Recommended Posts

I wonder why people feel that they can compel a private business owner to serve anyone.

It is a perversion of our constitution to tell us that we cannot choose whom to work for.

There is no law in this land that says any business owner has to serve anyone if they choose not to.

It is a personal choice and the antidiscrimination suits have failed to prove otherwise in many cases.

What do you think of Hooters having gay male servers dressed just like the waitresses?:S

What about a bar owner refusing to serve a person known to be a violent trouble maker?

What about a child care center not wanting to serve the needs of a convicted child molester, who wants to have their child served by that establishment?

So basically you agree with the dude over the homos? I can sympathize but I don't support their views either. The landscaper didn't have to state his position. All they had to do was reply with a "I'm a bit backup and cannot help you with your needs."

You are missing the point. Any private business can decide who they will work for. That is fine with me.
I just got a kick out of the fact that they have likely cost themselves tons of revenue with that one little email. Some of the posts on their message board are really funny.
Not trying to advocate for anything, otherwise I would have posted in SC. Just found it amusing.

A business has the right to refuse service to anyone.
Maybe the owner is a Practicing Christian. I don’t agree with his view but I do agree with his rights to choose whom he wishes to work for.

It's the landscaper's choice to work with/for whomever they see fit and to justify it for any reason.

It's the consumer's choice to hire the landscaper who best suits his needs.

There's really no debate. If you don't agree with the landscaper's stance, don't hire 'em. If you do agree, support 'em.

It'll all shake out in the end, and hopefully we'll all learn valuable lessons about how we choose to do business.

(Ever notice how the higher the horse gets, the more it hurts when you fall off?) ;)

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Well that would possibly violate his personal morals by telling a lie. Maybe he has a really big thing against lying.

Yup, and kinda like the Dixie Chicks, if you are going to say or do something unpopular, be prepared for the recourse.;)

Doubt they'll lose any revenue... Look at all the publicity they're getting! Hell, even skydivers are talking about their company.

should look like this but were it says urI it should be urL

personally i think the guy should just mind his own business and not worry about thier sexual orientations, that would be a little odd for someone to come to work on my property and ask me if i'm a homo. dont ask dont tell works jsut fine with me, and waht the hells wrong with that guy... does he hate money?

and ill stay safe, only a few days till im falling freely and getting thoroughly trashed

Wow, I didn't know there was a difference between gay money and straight money. I wonder what the exchange rate is.:S
Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off.
