kelel01 1 #1 October 19, 2006 Try to play it smart, and get called a cynic or a bitch. Actually be optimistic about something, and it all falls apart. There must be some sort of elusive middle ground I'm missing, but I'm just so . . . tired.

Nightingale 0 #3 October 19, 2006 Is this about work projects? Instead of criticizing plans, I like to ask questions. If I'm thinking "This isn't going to work, because they're not taking X into account." I'll ask "how are we compensating for X?" You don't sound critical or pessimistic, because the questioning style has an implied acknowledgment that someone might've thought of it before you. Be optimistic when you don't see any kinks. Ask questions otherwise.

Seriously, if someone can't say their own name, it's time for that person's friends to start drinking. yardhippie 0 #11 October 19, 2006 I read this thread title and said "oooohh yea" Ive learned to relax and not worry as much. Tomorrow is always a new day. The past is behind us, so lets leave it there. I really dont know where anyone gets "bitch" or "cynic" in refrence to you. Cuz the words that come to mind for me are things like "goober" and "crazy". and out of all our friends I'd say im the MOST cynical. all ya gotta do is put one foot in front of the other. Everything else is just fluff. Your pic looks like you're in your 20's somewhere, so keep hammering away, doing the best you can, and as the years slip by, you'll see you're finding a 'middle ground' and not suffering through these extremes. 359"Now I've settled down, in a quiet little town, and forgot about everything"
