Spatula 0 #1 October 16, 2006 What are some good legal music download sites? It must be legal, not p2p swapping. I'm not using apple products right now so Itunes is out. Need to update my workout/running music... Thanks.
wildblue 7 #2 October 16, 2006 I actually bought a song from buy.com not too long ago. Quick, easy... they even take paypal. I also just got into lala.com - not as instant, but you can trade CDs for $1 - pretty nifty idea.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

quack 0 #8 October 17, 2006 Puretracks is OK for some things, but the digital rights management adds a twist to burning / copying to devices. Also, I don't know how well it works for US subscribers. feuergnom 28 #10 October 18, 2006 DILIGAF if its legal in the u.s. of a? it works, it spares me endless time searching for music via p2p networks, it spares me broken links or corrupted files and it's cheap as hell. as long as they operate, i'll get music from them. if they close down - there will be another service doing similar business. and before i forget: don't get your knickers twisted because it's "not legal". i bet you never did anything illegal yourself, did you?The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver #

It sounds stupid to me b/c obviously someone shared the music with him b/c he DL'd it right? But apparently hes legal b/c he was on the DLing side and not the sharing side of the deal.So DL but dont share.*shrug* I dont know,it all sounds stupid to me but thats how he uses limewire and he hasnt had a problem and he has ALOT of music. After getting rid of all his duplicates and weeding out the stuff he doesnt like anymore he still has a TB of mp3s in his collection.Yes, you read that right,he has a terabyte of mp3s. **disclaimer, this is all secondhand info so dont take my word for it.Its your own ass if you do something illegal without investigating it for yourself first** "...just an earthbound misfit, I." I don't believe that's correct. It is however alot harder to get caught if you're not sharing the music on your computer.

Like I said, its second hand info. and said it was such,so I dont know if its right or not.I was just repeating what I was told.I also said for those interested they should investigate it on their own to be sure its not illegal b/c it was 2nd hand info.I questioned it myself in the post. I never said anything about it being wrong just illegal. Didnt want people to think that they were using a "legal" site when they were not. If they know its illegal and still use it fair play just didnt want misinfomred people wandering about. Personally I get and pay for 100% of my music legally. But I'm also a terrible liar.
