riggerrob 643 #2 March 29, 2007 Holy bent pins Batman! Looks like that pin was bent by a rigger who used more muscle than skill. If you want to see a truly scary pin, you should see the Naro pin that was bent by an RSL last year. We are waiting for PISA to send a replacement ripcord. darkwing 5 #3 March 29, 2007 Do we have reason to believe it was bent during the pack job as opposed to during use? I have seen plenty of pins bent during use. Given the frequency of door strikes, and door jambs... -- Jeff My Skydiving History

piisfish 140 #6 March 29, 2007 Quote It's not even a 90 yet, got lots of life still, did you ever see a reserve pin doing a 270? Besides that is there any explanation from the rig owner ? If the pin was bent by the rigger, well riggers fault. Jeffrey 1 #12 March 30, 2007 Quote Showing that a pin made frome the proper quality steel can be bent before breaking? JP, After my hint, I new you would the first one to jump on this one. You have the west coast time advantage on late east cost posts. I would love to tell the entire story but the fact I had to do it in the first place should say enough. That’s why I keep it around and it still puts a grin on my face. Edited to say that it did take more than 7lbs. to do, as it should. Thats another story.
