Nah, not Dubai... Believe it was part of the Maldives or Mauritius.

Shit, now I'm going to have to go look it up.

Morocco!

Add that to my list.:D

I think Antartica would be cool. A good friend of the family was doing research in the South Pole and the pictures were incredible. I mean...everything was white, but still beautiful.:P

I had some grandiose pipe dream of chartering a plane to the island and jumping in to my private lil cabana on the ocean....

I thought you were supposed to get to your cabana via yacht, not plane. I bet the food & wine on the plane will suck too. :P

Favorite vacation: I traveled all over Switzerland, France and Germany for 10 yrs with my exhusband. My favorite part was the South of France. I love to glance thru the photo albums and relive those experiences.

Where I want to go: Bora Bora or Belize.

... I love it how they can jump out of the water!

Until recently (only a few years back) it was largely believed that great whites cant jump out of the water, until someone showed video evidence of it.

Heres something interesting for you:

I went on an amazing vacation this summer with brianfry713. We went to Paris, France, Geneva, Switzerland, Nimes, France, Barcelona, Spain, Madrid, Spain and then a week in the Bahamas. We stayed on Paradise Island and visited 3 of the other islands while we were there.

I haven't been because I can't afford it yet, but I plan on getting to Alaska and to Ireland...as well as most of the rest of the US that I haven't been able to get to (New England [except NY...done that already]), the Northwestern States, and the midwest (from North to South).

If I ever manage to make a decent living, I am going traveling. No doubt, no question, no problem!

I was the same with Ireland. I yearned to be there, and there were so many places that were "familiar" to me. I knew the name of a castle that I HAD to visit before I even started studying the country (I even knew exactly where in the castle I was supposed to go). It was an awesome trip, and I'll go back anytime to visit.

Ok you officially SUCK! (in the nicest possible way ofcourse) b/c you've gotten to go already and I havent.I just have such a perfect picture in my head of a castle and in the distance, rolling green hills ending in cliffs at the sea...

Dammit someone give me a plane ticket!>:(

PLFXpert: That does it! Ireland is on my list now, too.
Moody, it sounds like you need to make that trip happen for yourself!

Yeah I really wish I could but coming off of being a full time student, now looking for a job and my husband is a state employee so $ is pretty nonexistant around our place.Every time we try to save so I can take my hubby to Tombstone,AZ a pet gets sick or a car needs this that or the other. So if we cant even manage to go to different state then a dif. country is out.:S[:/]

Awesome!

I've been to Paradise Island many times and scuba'd.:)
I'm very much a tropical girl and I just love vacations in/near water; swimming, scuba, snorkeling, surfing, boating, fishing, hiking though gorgeous tropical forests, kayaking, etc. I LOVE that!

I've mentioned before I've visited 42/50 states and all are so beautiful with so much to offer; but I always return to the east coast cities and I love the islands south of my homestate. South America is also just amazing. I've even once thought of purchasing property there.

Truth is this world is so beautiful and I wish I could see it all. But my life is about balance; and though I've listed almost 15 countries in this thread I'd like to visit I'll likely only see a small handful of those in my lifetime. There IS something to be said about being home, sweet home, too.:)

I think for those of us who have lived all our lives in the U.S., traveling w/in our own country is highly underrated.

First, let me say I'm very, very fortunate that I was able to travel so much in my youth. My father worked hard and played hard so we vacationed a lot. He'd always hear me go on and on about how much I wish I could have gone w/ him on all his overseas business trips. He always said the same thing; you really should see all your own country has to offer first. It's easy to take that statement the wrong way; but I understood what he meant one summer when we took 4 months off in a house-on-wheels and traveled the U.S; mountains & desert & badlands & waterfalls & forests & everything right here that are just spectacular.

Plus, it's a lot less expensive most of the time.:D
