Shawndiver 0 #77 October 11, 2006 News reports say he received his license 7 months ago, and had 75 hours accumulated. I know plenty of good pilots that took more hours than that to get their license in the first place, let alone flying a high performance aircraft. That is assuming the report is accurate..._________________

Actually, who's calling a Cirrus 'high-performance', anyway? Funky controls doesn't have anything to do with high performance. -And I hope if I screw up some day people don't decide to judge my actions based on my money. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. By the FAA's defination a "high performance" aircraft is any plane that exceeds 200 horsepower. So a cirrus is technically not a high performance aircraft, but just barely. The trasnsition course when you pick up your new Cirrus is 3 days (or so) I believe. You can also have a CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Program) train you.
