So just because it's made in america by THE ORIGINAL RECIPE it's not considered an Irish beer??
My chevy truck was manufactured in Canada, is it a canadian truck?? It's advertised as one. (american)

You're probably better off with a Canadian truck ...

Yes, your right. I have 306,000 miles on it now and is still running great. It's 1999 model. I would buy another one made in canada if thats the reason this one is doing so well. :)

It's Canadian. Please convert that to kilometers ...

;)

Shit you must drive a LOT!! I have a 1998 that only has 160,000 KM on it!

But back to wine ... I prefer a nice, cheap Chilean or Argentinian red over beer. I know that's probably sacrelig being Canadian and all but that's the way I am.

But I won't turn down a good bottle of beer either!

The only difference between French wine and American wine is what is on the labels. American wines list sulfites on the label, but they are found in French wines as well.

No, sorry. We went to vinyards and talked with the wine makers and they don't add sulfites to the wine over there. Plus if I drank the wine and it did have sulfites in it, I would swell up. So it's not my imagination. They don't add preservatives to their wine. ;)

DAMN! I have a 1998 Chevy Z71 that was basically made in Mexico that has about 130,000 miles on it that is falling apart. Then again, it was run hard and been in a couple of wrecks. Well, the last one doesn't count, very minimal damage from a rear end accident due to the badass RanchHand bumper I have. Some sorority chick rear ended me doing over 40mph while on her cellphone. I was at a near stand still. Tough truck, good engine, good tranny and transfer case. The rest of the truck is wearing out FAST...and the 13mpg sucks at time...although the 4 wheel drive and large amounts of power is handy at times as well.:D

Sorry but I have no desire to fool with metrics. I use to drive alot. 214 miles a day, 5 days a week. I'm retired now. Ot may fall apart now driving on city streets. ;)

Okay, I'll give you that.

For the record, it's approximately 490,000 kms! That's a LOT of mileage (or kilometerage).

Hope it stays in one piece!

But tell me about wine now ... or beer ...

I just talked to some wine experts at a wine festival this past weekend about the very topic. There are wines without sulfites, they just have a very short shelf-life. French wines in general do have sulfites, they just aren't required to state it on the label like American's are.

According to the expert I talked to (who was doing a myth-buster presentation about wines), people who believe they get hungover from sulfites are generally getting sick from the tannins, not the sulfites.

He could be wrong though. I don't claim to be an expert on the topic. Just reiterating what I was told last week.

I heard the same thing about tannins. Friends of mine can't drink the heavy reds without getting a hangover. May be that they have more tannins in them.

Me, I have no problem with reds whatsoever. Must be immune ...

All but about 45,000 are highway miles. Makes a big difference over city miles. Now that I don't drive a long distance any more i'm wondering how long it will last. Mine wasn't run very hard and no towing and no accidents. This is the second one I have put over 300,000 on. Not sure where the first one was built.
My butt is shaped like a bucket seat now. :D

Do not try to mix them up -- beer and wine together is a very bad thing...

Why? I have also heard "Wine and Beer, Never Fear."

or by "mix them up" did you mean literally mixing them in the same cup?:S or what?

Many times I have drunk wine and beer in the same evening. I've never had problems with it, unless I drank too much of course.;) (as a matter of fact, I'm doing that tonight! :D[wine]B|

I like Beringers or Sutter Home white zinfandel and Rose Mount Cabernet or Sauvignon. Black Opal and Black Swan are good also.

I'm a red wine girl but I do like a Zin every now and then.

I've tried Black Opal and like it.

Any other Cab-Sauvs that you've tried that you like???

I pretty much check out the labels and the one that appeals to me, I buy! So far, so good with those choices! I find that the stranger or more colourful the label, the wine is actually good!

I'm the same way. When people tell the name of a good wine I generally forget by the time I make it to the liqure store so while i'm there I just look at labels. Let me think about what I have tried in the past and will let you know.

Yay! I thought I was the only one that did that!

Pictures of labels would help immensely!

;):P:D:D

Kidding ... any names you can recall would be great!
