I did just that this weekend , told work I was sick and went jumping today. Probably cost me a ton of money but it was worth it. Just as I was packing up to call it a day they decided to do night jumps. Man that rocked. Came up a little short and biffed the landing but was still worth it. I knew I was screwed when I could smell the grass and hadn't flared yet . Had so much fun I'm blowing off work tomorrow too

Ok, so I didn't read the whole post and completely missed out on all the thread drift but that's exactly what I did today. Left school after an 8 hour study seesion and went and made a skydive at a dz I'd never been to before out in BFE. If I would have come home to the hills, I would have not been in the mood, would have had a beer, and been in bed by 9:30 pm. That's not life. I'm so proud of myself for going off on my own and doing something fun. It was a little different; however, when the locals broke out in a talent show after the night jumps ~ we'll blame it on the full moon! Seriously folks, Irish dancing and bowling pin juggling and the dzo's wife did a little belly dancing...
Overall experience - GREAT! One jump, new DZ, 6 way hybrid night jump - memory of a lifetime!

Skydive Tampa - not sure what city it was in (off I4 just south of lakeland)... it sucks cuz if you do a search for it that f'in skyride bullshit comes up.

It reminded me a lot of Monroe, Chester, St. George. Jumped a Twin Bo!

Yep - bought my beer - that's why I'm home so late 'cuz then I had to sober up!

hey,

it is thanksgiving long weekend here in canada-
beauty weather for a skydive, could hear the porter flyin over my house today as I took off to go grocery shopping----house is clean,----my family is coming!!


It will be so great to see everyone and I am looking so forward to cooking an awesome Sunday dinner-
there is no reason for me to drop everything and go jump-

Monday is Thanksgiving and D.Z. is having a huge turkey dinner- so all my leftovers are coming with me in the cooler. I will get to spend the day jumpin with my buddies-- cannot believe the weather is just rawkin.........Vancouver B.C. in October.
