angrypeppers 1 #5 April 13, 2007 They usually have a bunch of stock rigs available, if you aren't too picky about colors, etc. Might be quicker to get one of them. jee 0 #6 April 13, 2007 QuoteWhy don't you get their e-mail address from their website and ask them ? I think what he is looking for is a different perspective other than that of the manufactuer. Sometimes merchants tend to sugar coat things such as delivery times to make their product more appealing to a prospective buyer. I believe this is a very appropriate question that deserves an appropriate response if you actually have the information to provide. after all that is what these forums are all about....right?
 kkeenan 14 #7 April 13, 2007 Good point. It would be interesting to hear from some recent customers of various suppliers (not just UPT) as to how their actual delivery times measured up against what they were promised. In the long run, respectable manufacturers (i.e. UPT) try to give honest forecasts. However, dozens or variables can mess with the best forecast. For example, they may have ordered a batch of buckles. The buckles arrived on time, but had rough edges, so had to be sent back to the hardware manufacturer and they had to wait another week for smooth buckles, etc.
 Tony274 0 #13 April 7, 2008 I ordered mine in January and got an out date of the start of May....not sure if it will be then but i think its worth the wait, got 3d spacer foam backpad...im looking forward to seeing how cumfy it is
 ozzy13 0 #14 April 7, 2008 I ordered my second rig 6 weeks ago and was told it was going to be 22 weeksNever give the gates up and always trust your rears! Some of the larger dealers have standing orders and effectively sell you their place in line, which could be 4-8 weeks out when the manufacturer is quoting 20 weeks for new orders. Presumably if the dealer doesn't manage to sell the slot they end up with a stock rig to sell.
