Stupid Argus Question...

I just got a rig with an Argus included (almost new)...when I try to switch it on (have to press the button for a while to turn it on), I get the HELLO display, then the flashing EYE, then immediately GOODBYE...

Can anyone with an Argus AAD advise on what I am doing wrong?? (I have found the on-line manual and thought I was following the instructions but I guess I must be doing something wrong)

hold the button to turn it on, wait a sec..then every time the backgroundlights up (3 times) you immediately push the button once. Then it will do a system check. I love my argus, been good to me so far!

Seconded. It's really important you learn all the basic info and firing parameters before using it.
