peregrinerose 0 #26 July 21, 2005 Quotethey did the same thing to Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising Sequence but the first two (cronologically) are simply not as good, and you dont care about the characters as much yet, so the 'original order' is a better read as well.. Oooh, I forgot about those, haven't read them since Jr. High. Time to get to a book store.... Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
SpeedRacer 1 #27 July 21, 2005 I'm surprised. Even as a boy I could see the obvious Christian symbolism. Like in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, when Aslan is telling the kids they have to return to their own world and that they "will know me by another name there..." I don't know, it was a LOONG time ago when I read it. But wasnt there a whole big battle scene in Magician's Nephew where Aslan is tied up & seemingly conquered, and then is resurrected? I always thought it was kinda obvious. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
kelel01 1 #28 July 21, 2005 I love the Chronicles of Narnia. And now I have a hankering for some "Never Ending Story" action.

rasmack 0 #30 September 15, 2005 I just had to revive this thread... HF #682, Team Dirty Sanchez #227 “I simply hate, detest, loathe, despise, and abhor redundancy.” - Not quite Oscar Wilde...
Shotgun 1 #31 September 28, 2006 Ha ha... that's funny. I'm sitting here watching "The Chronicles of Narnia" right now... Great movie! The first book was one of my favorite books as a kid, and I'm really enjoying the movie!
