Ripsmacker181 0 #1 September 27, 2006 Just Watched a program reguarding UFO's and black Craft, just thought I'd share with you some research into the subject matter. Heres the site/s, that I found. Intresting. http://www.aemann.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/aircraft/black/aurora/aurora.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RQ-3_Dark_Star http://www.allstar.fiu.edu/aero/x33_x34end.htm Amazing and awersome. AggieDave 6 #2 September 27, 2006 You're forgetting about the TR3 and some of the other "classic" secret planes. Strangely enough the F117A and the B2 were rumored planes before the government went public with them. http://www.area51zone.com/aircraft/summary.shtml That's a fun read. UFOs or not, huge government conspiracies about them working with alien technology or not the way I look at it is that even our most advanced aircraft that we know about are using technology from atleast 10 years ago. So there *has* to be something else that we don't know about. The government won't let themselves get stuck in a technology if they weren't working on something else. Sort of like when the SR-71 retired the first time. The only reason why the government would retire such a plane is if they had something better. Be it an airplane or enough extremely high technology satalites that can do the job as quick and with more ability. All in all, though, I do admit its a LOT of fun to read about these things and dream about the kinds of technology the planes are supposed to have. Its cool to think that maybe we *do* have this sort of technology. It is also fun to think that we're not alone in the universe. If its true or not, hell I don't know and I'm not going to say yes or no. Maybe I really am more of a Trekkie then I think I am.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
OmegaShield 0 #3 September 27, 2006 I admit that I like to think there are some cool planes out there that we don't know about but with the type of basic hypersonic and hypervelocity experiments still being conducted, we still have a lot to learn. The materials are still tough to do and its a pain to get an engine that will operate beyond Mach 5. I have no doubt that these problems can be solved with enough money. We are close. But like was said earlier, why retire the SR-71 unless it had a good replacement.
freeflir29 0 #4 September 27, 2006 Quotewhy retire the SR-71 unless it had a good replacement. I think it was due to the developement of so many and high quality satellites that the SR-71 wasn't needed anymore. Why risk flying a plane and pilot over hostile territory when you can have a sat do the same job? I'm sure there is some kick ass new stuff out there. I have friends that were working on the F-117 program back in the 80's. I've been through area 51.........just to the ranges and I didn't see anything amazing. Of course.........they kept us on a REALLY tight leash.
skydiver51 0 #5 September 27, 2006 I think the satilites are why. I looked at a pic from google earth of my house and had I been standing in the yard when it was taken you probably could tell what I was wearing. When I was still working at Tinker AFB They would park the F117s and B2s over by the E3s where nobody gets to wonder around.
