Are you the youngest?

Recommended Posts

I'm in the middle of 3.

My parents had it tough. Because whatever they did raising my sister didn't work, they tried something different with me. That didn't work either so they tried something different with my brother..you guessed it. That didn't work either but at least he learned from us and didn't get caught nearly as much as my sister and me.

He once told me, "I'm glad I had you for a brother. You taught me all the things NOT to do."
Asshole.

:D:D
My reality and yours are quite different.

My husband and I are both the youngest in our families-he the youngest of 5 and me with one older brother. And even though both of our boys want to skydive, the youngest is the most enthusiastic about it. So maybe there is some connection to family order.:)

My brother learned to skydive and got as far as 20 jumps before he found other things to do.

I wish I had that kind of talent! I'm STILL learning to skydive!

:D He just didn't have the time to keep up with it. Eventually got into hang-gliding for a while, until a crash-landing broke his neck (he fully recovered). However, after that, his wife warned him if he did it again, she would hire a large German woman named Helga to do the bed-pan stuff while he's laid up in bed. :D

Interesting how the wording seems to make a difference.

AggieDave had a poll a couple of years ago asking the same thing, only stating it as "birth order." It came out pretty evenly split among oldest and youngest. There was another poll, too, but it didn't ID youngest, just how many older siblings there were.

No, I was quite sure it'd been asked before, so I went and did a search :)
