The ultimate wedding venue...

Recommended Posts

So guys what do you think of this...

The wedding I went to this weekend was held at the Pro Football Hall of fame... not really my cup of tea but I have to admit it was a pretty cool venue for a wedding... B|

They held the cermony just outside (under a tent since it was raining) and the procession was done down astro-turf.

Then there was dinner and dancing had inside the hall of fame. (and for that matter the guests were all alowed to roam the premises freely... :D) my brother was having a blast... :)
that's all I've go if y'all want you can describe your ideal wedding venue... :P I just thought it was pretty neat and figured I'd share... :)

That's pretty cool. I know a couple who got married at home plate at Safeco Field. Unfortunately, they're more acquaintances than friends, so I wasn't invited.

I got married on a beach in Bali with the sun setting behind the minister as we said our vows.
It is STILL the single coolest, most sureal moment of my life:)

What was the bride and groom's connection to the Football Hall of Fame?

I don't know of any... but I have to believe that both are at least somewhat enamoured with the sport of football. (i.e. football fans) more or less though I can only guess as to why as I didn't actually ask my friend (Eric) where the idea came from initially.

Well we got married at the nose of a really super nice private jet because it was POURING so the jump was off.

But our reception was in the Peggy Notebart Museum downtown Chicago. We had the entire museum. Our pictures were taken in the butterfly room (freaked some of the kids out).

They had a hall with a full wall which was nothing but glass lined with candles. You could see Lake Michigan.

The best was the Grossology exhibit.... bodily functions made friendly for the kids. They had a blast!!!

Denny's has a banquet room?

Forgive me, but nothing screams 'poor white trash' more than a wedding reception in a banquet room at Denny's.:S

I'm not sure about the hall of fame thing...my wedding and the reception was at a country chapel built on an old deer lease. We served bar-b-q and Shiner Bock. All in all I think it was a success.B|

I went to a wedding two years ago in a cheap Mexican restaurant. The couple and 80% of the guests were a "who's who" of the Washington wine industry, the nuptials were less than 5 minutes long, and the drinking was awfully damned good. It wouldn't be my choice for *my* wedding, but as a guest it was fucking awesome. :)

Our wedding was in Ranger Chapel at Ft. Lewis...complete with a stained glass paratrooper window. :P

Ideal...I dunno, if we ever get married again (which I think would be kinda cool!) I like the last scene from that Julia Roberts Richard Gere running bride movie when they're on the top of a hill in the mountains. That was beautimous. :)
