gjhdiver 0 #26 April 23, 2007 QuoteAre you kidding? You smell like a troll. Yes indeed he is a troll. If he's not careful I'll post which AAD company he's a test jumper for. Let's just say that they really should have more class than this. As for the misfire, Argus already have a report out. It was a pre-production test model for firmware and software that was accidentally replaced into an Aviacom test system. It was an Aviacon test jumper that used it. If anyone wants a copy of the full report, just PM me with an email and I'll send you the file (3.2 MB). I expect it will be on the argus site very soon. USPA 0 #32 April 25, 2007 true, forgot that one... sometimes get confused with all the alleged reports out there... The trouble with skydiving; If you stink at it and continue to jump, you'll die. dragon2 2 #33 April 25, 2007 Funny that, a real report gets buried in an FXC thread and all the alleged incidents get lots of threads. I totally missed that one. ciel bleu, Saskia
azureriders 0 #34 April 25, 2007 From a post by TrojanHorse in the other thread:QuoteThe incident took place at Gold Coast Skydivers on Sunday 8th of October. The activation was at ± 9000ft. and caused by a broken sensor. Unit had as DOM April 2006. Action taken: Visit (3 days after the incident) to Gold Coast Skydivers. The unit was at the DZ checked, opened and info downloaded –all being witnessed by the DZ manager. The outcome was the above. As precaution all further units of that batch (10 units of April 2006) were immediately replaced. Sounds acurate to me, I work there but not in managment, but for as I know managment was satisfied with the "Action Taken" Further details just for the sake of conversation. The jumper was a female, not for sure of jump #'s but in the novice catagory. She was a memeber of a hoop dive and was to be one of the hoop holders. Early in the dive was having problems with her slot and elected to wave off, back out (and up I think) to lurk the rest of the dive. I think another jumper may have taken her slot. Her husband passed through the hoop and when clear of others turned to find his wife and witnessed the reserve pilot chute launch. She landed with a no incident slide in the main landing area and was out for a few weeks with whip lash from the opening. I was not on this dive but was there that day and these are the details as best I know them. The gear was a DZ owned rental, canopies unkown to me. From what I understand all Dz owned arguses where replaced, immediately and with out charge.
