mrken 0 #1 April 20, 2007 I recently demoed a OxyA3 and a Mamba; during FF both helmets were soaked with moisture and I could barely see. I assume this is due to saliva escaping my mouth and hitting the inside of the shield? I mean the air now only coming through that center mouth piece feels like a jet you'd get nailed with at the Dentist's! Does wearing a close face require breathing through the nose? I have annoying allergies so I am always stuffy :( I never noticed this before with my open face in FF as I am happily giggling and gulping air! darkwing 5 #2 April 20, 2007 are you sure it wasn't just fogging up? Try duct tape over your mouth (just kidding). -- Jeff My Skydiving History
aardvarkeater 0 #3 April 20, 2007 Get some antifog solution like OpDrops and apply it to the inside of the shield. Works great for me.Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
skymama 37 #4 April 20, 2007 How long did you have your helmet on in the plane? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
mrken 0 #5 April 20, 2007 LoL I guess it is possible that I could have been breathing heavily and it was causing them to fog. I could try using the anti-fog spray that I use on my paintball mask.
mrken 0 #6 April 20, 2007 I had it on with the lens up (edited first post since the first helm was an A3, not a FD) for most of the flight and then flipped it down on green light/my walk to the door (I was tracking so 2nd last out).
skymama 37 #7 April 20, 2007 Quote(I was tracking so 2nd last out) That might explain some of it. I've worn a Factory Diver for about 450 jumps and only had a problem with moisture on 1 wingsuit jump that I did. On regular jumps, mine fogs up in the plane a little if it is cold out, but once I get in the door it clears. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
billvon 2,990 #8 April 23, 2007 > I had it on with the lens up . . . You may get better results if you leave it off until close to exit. Your head sweats and all that moisture has to go somewhere.
Leavre 0 #9 April 25, 2007 I'll keep my helmet open at just the last second before jump. So it doesn't fog up.
