rhys 0 #1 September 13, 2006 I'm having trouble getting insurance because i am not in my home country and do not know when i will be returning. most insurance companies want you to begin or return to your home country. the skydiving thing is the other drama, anyone have any ideas? I'm a New Zealander leaving Noway to tanzania for an unknown amount of time. I'll be working as a Tandem instructor. Help!! I leave in two weeks."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
Sockpuppet 0 #2 September 13, 2006 www.directline.co.uk do a global package which is valid for one year anywhere in the world. Maybe some new zealand places do the same. Tell them you live at parents in NZ? ------ Two of the three voices in my head agree with you. It might actually be unanimous but voice three only speaks Welsh. pirana 0 #4 September 13, 2006 Try your embassy or consulate. If there is any hope, they will know of it. My guess is you are screwed." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

Does New Zealand have the equivalent of the Canadian Automobile Association? I'm a member of the Alberta Motor Association and I buy my travel insurance through them. You might be able to sign up for it on-line. Worth checking into. edited to add - some credit cards offer travel insurance as well. I think some of friends of mine get it through their Visa. rhys 0 #7 September 13, 2006 QuoteWorth checking into. why do they offer insurance to people that are abroad?"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
Shell666 0 #8 September 13, 2006 QuoteQuoteWorth checking into. why do they offer insurance to people that are abroad? Not the Canadian Automobile Association (you'd have to be Canadian to get that). See if New Zealand has an automobile association and see if they offer travel insurance to members. I forgot to buy mine one year when I went to Arizona and I just called them up, they faxed me the forms and I signed them and faxed them back. New Zealand might offer the same ... or check into your credit card (see my edit above). Good luck! 'Shell'Shell

bob.dino 1 #10 September 14, 2006 QuoteSee if New Zealand has an automobile association and see if they offer travel insurance to members. They do, but they specifically exclude skydiving. Rhys: let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

NZ$350 for 6 months or $600 for 12 months. thier benifits seem the same as all the other companies i have checkes out. they don't cover skydiving but find a company that does. they do however cover riding scooters and motorbikes, scuba diving and many other things that others don't. have you got you JVX yet? I'm ordering my shiny new JVX84, just waiting to see if a beer company doesn't want to advertise on both mine and leighs new rides. if they do then thats free canopies for us!! keep in touch bro, are you pussy whipped, french style yet"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
 lilDevil 2 #16 September 21, 2006 HBF cover skydiving whilst on holiday, but not if competing im not sure if it woiuld work for you, worth a look anyway.``````````````````````````````````` " Cant keep a good woman down " Angels have wings, but devils can fly !
