AggieDave 6 #2 September 18, 2006 Haha! Sucks huh? This is what people occasionally go through, although times about 10, when they're pepper sprayed with LE grade OC spray. A hot tip (pun intended), baby johnson's no tears shampoo will kill the stinging quickly. Other then that, wash your eyes out with fresh running water for a couple of minutes then leave it alone! You will reach a point in which the water will continue to activate the enzymes and continue to cause pain. Take some deep breaths and it'll pass. The last time I had a "similar" experience and only had water to use, it only took about 3 hours for the pain to stop.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Holy shit on a stick... I can empathize; One time I was working with a guy who started bringing in peppers from his garden, and slicing them up and sharing them with us. What I did not know was that this particular pepper would get progressively hotter as the ripening season progressed. About two weeks into the season, I bit into one and my mouth and throat caught on fire and my eyes began to water profusely. That was my first mistake. The second mistake was to wipe my eyes with my hand. Next thing I remember was frantically making my way down the hall to the restroom by feeling the wall with my hands because I could no longer see. I spent the next five minutes with my face under the faucet flushing my eyes."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. Holy shit on a stick... Cayenne peppers are worse... you can't cut them open and clean the insides out without coughing and gagging and tears streaming out of your eyes. You do it under water in the kitchen sink. Even then, you've got to wear surgical or kitchen gloves because the stuff from inside the peppers burns your skin through the fucking water... I'm talking more like a mildly irritating sunburn, not the 1st or 2nd degree stuff. But damn... Cayenne peppers is the active ingredient in Mace...
