chrissylicious 0 #1 September 7, 2006 I need some advice. I was accepted Washington State University today and I have the chance to become anything I want (probably an accountant) or I can go for a year of beauty school. I feel I would be good at both but what I am really wanting to know is what is the best thing for the future. Does anyone have any advice on beauty school vrs. accounting? would love to hear what you would do Chrissy"I will stick you with a rope"- ME

LisaM 0 #3 September 7, 2006 That's quite a difference. I would think it is all going to depend on what makes you happy. I don't know much about being a beautician, so pardon me if I stick my foot in my mouth, but I imagine they aren't paid well. If you want money, I would say accounting. If you don't care, try to imagine which one you'll still want to be doing in 10-15-20 years. Me, I'd hate to stand on my feet too long. Kills my back! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? NWFlyer 2 #4 September 7, 2006 Both accounting and hairdressing are jobs you can do pretty much anywhere. But if you're just starting college, there's so many possibilities with a college degree, some of which you probably haven't even thought of yet. What do you really want to do? bertusgeert 1 #5 September 7, 2006 Yep, it's all about what you want to do. I can say though, no matter if the times are good or bad, as an accountant your services are always needed. It's a pain in the arse and it takes 4 freakin years, but you will have a blast, meet such cool people, experience things you wouldn't otherwise have the chance to experience, delay "real life" which you have plenty of time for, and you can always go be a hairdresser later if you want. That degree will take you places you can't otherwise get.
