algebra and alcohol

I have to finish my algebra homework, but I want a cocktail now.

It's only basic freshman-in-high-school-type algebra. I should be okay doing it after a cocktail, right? How about after two cocktails?

Drink 5 like Muenkel says and then post your work here after. Someone will correct it!

Now that there is not a bad plan, provided the one who corrects it is sober.:P

Hey, I just came up with the idea! If you want to help Skybytch, it's up to the rest of you to stay sober!

I think you can handle it after 5 cocktails.

I think I can handle it after 5 cocktails, but I doubt my instructor would appreciate my chicken scratch. She's a neat freak.

Alcohol does seem to mix well with algebra. I'm 5/9ths of the way through the homework now. :D

fuck yeah.

If you've got gin at 42% alcohol, how much do you dilute it with tonic water to achieve a final alcohol concentration of 9% in a volume of 300 ml?

see, there's an algebra problem with an actual, practical application..:P

scroll down for the answer, if you're too much of a pussy to figure it out.

(the answer is : two fingers. spread 'em out if you got skinny fingers.B|)

I actually did some of my best work in math when I was drunk off my ass.

I solved a problem that I had been working on for 18 months on a cocktail napkin that I made the girl I was dating at the time keep in her purse until the next day so I wouldn't lose my answer.

<--- doesn't miss it
