Zeppo 0 #1 September 13, 2006 Hi all. I'm working on the colour scheme for my pre-second jumpsuit. I don't really know what I want, but I thought I'd go with some bright colours. I'm looking for general opinions, good or bad regarding the style, colours, and design. Feel free to offer recommendations or changes. I really didn't have much to go on. Keep in mind that I'm a 6', 200lbs male. All comments welcome and appreciated as this is my second most expensive purchase (next to my rig), so I want to make sure that it looks half decent, both in my eyes, and the eyes of others...what can I say...I'm vain What goes up, must come DOWN!!! Lindercles 0 #2 September 13, 2006 If you're worried about people's eyes, you might want to tone it down a bit. Wouldn't want to burn anyone's retinas.

skymama 37 #6 September 13, 2006 It looks like a color wheel threw-up on you. Try sticking to 3 colors. Zeppo 0 #9 September 13, 2006 lol...I love it. Thanks for the advice...keep it coming. I'll take it all in and start making some changes. I think the first thing is to darken it abit. What goes up, must come DOWN!!!
skymama 37 #10 September 13, 2006 It's usually good to keep your backside on the darker side because of all the scooching around you do in the plane. I'm sure you won't have any bad landings, so I won't mention that as an additional reason. MagicGuy 0 #11 September 13, 2006 Pre-second, I love it. One of my friends drops that all the time to avoid buying BEER. My opinon.. lose the pink, man.
JENNR8R 0 #12 September 13, 2006 Are you color blind? I know a lot of men are. Those colors clash, and I've never been a big fan of pink on men. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
Icon134 0 #13 September 13, 2006 so your designing your first jumpsuit... try saying it... first... its really not hard... ok.. onto the design... I'd agree with others... there's certainly nothing wrong with bright colors but I'd stick to just two or three colors. I have a black, silver and navy camera suit that looks pretty good... (or at least I've been told that the colors complement one another nicely... best of all the colors also match my rig... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... Zeppo 0 #14 September 13, 2006 I like the three colour concept. It keeps things simple. I'm thinking of changing it to blue, a dark red, and maybe a little black (thank's to mama's suggestion, and my landings I'll have to play around and see what works. What goes up, must come DOWN!!! Man... thats a brave looking suit. Remster
matthewcline 0 #16 September 13, 2006 Yeah it is a pretty sharp suit, Isaw one time up close at like 12k or sumthin' As to the original post, a dark back and legs will show less of the wear your gonna get during the begining of your jumping days. The Static Discharge strips on the arms and legs can be flashy as long as the back of them is darker for when your getting video it will be easier to debreif (not a real major deal, only minor at this point). To add color do it in the torso on the front, and again stick to 3, 4 colors at the most. But hey, first, is a first, it is still beer, no matter how you want pronounce the damn word.An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! I can't beleive people don't realize how stupid they sound when they say "pre-second" instead of just saying "first". ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! monkycndo 0 #22 September 13, 2006 I agree with the others, it looks like a box of crayons fell on your suit. Bonnie from Gravity Gear helped me with mine. I went with a dark color on the booties, light color on the chest (not so hot in the summer time), and bright color on the arms/back so I am easy to spot in a formation. I have been told by people that dock on me that I'm real easy to find. You can always add an accent color on pin striping or grippers.50 donations so far. Give it a try.
