• A 3-way,
• Tracking dive and
• A 11000ft h&p (took 2000ft to get rid of those line twists while hanging horizontal with the canopy...:S)

Had 2 brothers doing 7 levels on the SL progression on Saturday (8 Jumps each). Spend most the day giving briefings but it was great seeing their enthusiasm after each jump. They just never got tired.

7 tandems, 2 zero-point RW jumps, much fun. The jumps on my sport rig were 1 totally zoo 15-way formation load...at least the ride to altitude was comfy with only two of us in the 182 :D, and 1 totally zoo 5-way that included a guy being deployed today after making 80 jumps in 2 months, and gal who earned her A-license yesterday. Laughing in freefall is my favorite pastime. :)

Great weekend at Emerald Coast, and the rain held off all weekend at the DZ! B| Lots of good belly jumps, and 1st time getting somewhat stable in a sit (on my 3rd attempt). I suppose the dark side isn't that scary after all. :P

5 fun CReW jumps at the Newbie Crazy CReW weekend at Perris. Did some dockin' and a little piloting as well. Got to watch some interesting video of a nice wrap and then went hiking around a big field looking for a missing freebag.
50 donations so far. Give it a try.

Good weekend! I went down to Skydive Dallas on Saturday and made 7 jumps. Then went to my local DZ here in Oklahoma (Pegasus) and made 3. Got my 200th on the last jump on Sunday. Filled out the appropriate paper work and sent my C license application off this morning. So I owe beer for the 1st time in quite a while! B|

Are you home for good or do you have to go back to the sandbox? (sorry if I missed some announcement)

I'm home for good. I got back about 3 weeks ago now. We had plans to come out to the All of the Above boogie (I think thats what it was called, right?). But pretty much all our plans went out the window when I suddenly remembered my son is now in kindergarten :oB|. So can't go anywhere unless its a weekend trip.

I haven't really gotten on DZ.com since I've been back...until now. So I guess this is the "announcement", :D. It's good to be back!

Did some simulated instrument airplane flying or "hood work", and got cleared to take off and land solo at a different airport 20 miles away.

9 freefly skydives in the afternoons at Davis. Did a sweet 5-way freefly jump for Brett's 500th. We had a nice 4-way up/down piece flying for a while at the end of the jump. I was upright and my legs ended up about as wide as they could go.

Had some fun tracking as usual. I'm also working on my head down and swooping. Had a couple pretty nice swoops and a few where my set up was way off, but at least I wasn't in the corner:)
0 :D owed.

Circles Goo...all I wanted was circles.

I'll try to remember that in the future. :D From now on, whenever a skydive goes to shit, the plan is BFR. If anyone has a problem with that, I'll tell them to take it up with you. :P;)

Hallway Sex: 4 : 0

HELP! I NEED SOME BELLY FLYERS!!!!!!!

I'm afraid to ask, but what is hallway sex? Does it have anything to do with a glory hole? [:/]

I went to Carolyn Clay's Birthday Boogie at West Point, VA. As soon as I walked into the hangar the organizer introduced herself and asked me to join them. There were scores of belly flyers there!!!

I did three 8-ways, but had a hard opening on the last one. That grounded me for the rest of the weekend. I'm still sore. I hope to recover in time for the 4-way meet at West Point next Saturday.

As I was packing, someone said I looked very familiar. I didn't recognize him, but he asked me if I posted on DZ.com. :o I was struck dumb. :| I was feeling pretty anonymous up until that point. It was "Spatula." :)

2 CReW jumps with Walt and 2 CReW attempts with my former instructor (our canopies weren't compatible:().

First jump of the day, Walt and I do rotations and then fly a two-stack into the DZ where I learned to Skydive. My start in this sport wasn't exactly awesome, so it was with great pride that my former instructor witnessed me participating in the first CReW jump at his DZ. Yes I know BEER...or root beer in my case.

Anyway, on the other CReW jump we only got about 5K due to clouds, so Walt and I get together around 3k and both realize we cannot see the dz, but we didn't care. So he lands us in a big open field, and then a very nice farmer gives us a ride back. When we arrived at the dz, a local volunteer firefighter shows up to check on us. He saw two parachutes flying close together and thought one of us was passed out and the other was trying to help.

Yes - I finally owe beer.

I recieved my VSCR number in the mail - it was accomplished in 2003 at the 4th of July in Waller Texas.

VSCR#108

The paperwork of whatever was lost or whatever - but Bill Newell hooked me up and I'll post pics later of everything I got.

Thanks Bill

Oh and as far as the Small town thing - the cessna at SD Temple used to crash 3 to 4 times a weekend . . . and the police actually asked us if we could land somewhere else to avoid all the calls.:o I looked at him and said - sure - the people at the rest stop need a demo.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama
