aggie04 0 #1 September 10, 2006 Hey everyone, not sure if I can post this on here but I am running a half marathon to raise money for the leukemia and lymphoma society. The money raised is used for cancer research and also to help families affected by cancer by helping with parking and medication costs. I have a website where donations can be made if you are interested. http://www.active.com/donate/tnttxgc/tnttxgcCMarney edited to add: even $10 helps...that pays for a family's day of hospital parking. Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #2 September 10, 2006 That's awesome! I'm thinking of doing a Team in Training half or full marathon after my charity walk in November...let me know your progress. I am thinking of signing up for early next year. I'll sponsor you, very soon! LOVE that you are doing this. Good luck! You know, I contacted them and never heard anything. Bummer. :(
 aggie04 0 #8 September 11, 2006 Really? Try again. The chapter here in houston contacted me the week I signed up online for a meeting. It is a wonderful organization and I have been impressed at how well run it is. Hopefully you can get through to them in your area because I have already had a good experience with the group. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect
 aggie04 0 #9 September 11, 2006 Awesome website! I wish I knew more about website stuff so I could make mine more exciting but for now it will have to do. I like your skydiving idea to raise money for your run. Maybe I could arrange something like that here in Texas. That is great how many times you have participated with TNT and how much you have raised. Congratulations ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A life without a cause is a life without an effect
 VanillaSkyGirl 6 #10 September 11, 2006 QuoteReally? I wrote for some information to the Team in Training out here and was contacted the very next day by one of their people. Unfortunately, I had to tell them that I was already training for the breast cancer 60 mile walk this fall and wouldn't be able to join TNT until next year. I've heard such great things about them, though. Caroline, please keep us posted of your training progress. I would LOVE to hear about it. It will make a difference for me to know of someone in TNT because I also will be a first time marathoner when I do it. I'm so excited that you are doing this. Good luck!!! I am actually going to see a podiatrist this week for some foot problems I am having so hopefully it will turn out fine.
